Worth Reading
I enjoyed reading this book. It's an eye opening for the real world. This is true, these things go on daily in our churches. It's not worth the hassel. I encourage men and women, married and single to read this book. And for the single men and women- wait for jesus to send you a MATE!
Good Luck! I'm waiting on part two!
Stay encouraged

Don't believe the hype...sorry!
Please, please do not let the title of this book and the scripted catchphrases in the book synposis drive you to buy it as members of my book club and I did for our September reading. This review is from: BOOTY CALL IN THE CHURCH (Paperback)
Please, please do not let the title of this book and the scripted catchphrases in the book synposis drive you to buy it as members of my book club and I did for our September reading. Despite the controversial and very real nature of sex in the church, inside and outside of marriage, this book did the topic no real justice! The plot was poorly written and inconsistent--at times the book read as a work of nonfiction, and at other times, as a fiction. It came off rushed...almost as if the author could not wait to give us the "dirty, juicy details" so she forego necessary writing techniques such as setting the scene (you are 27 pages into the book before it is mentioned that the story is set in Orlando, FL), character definition, pre/sequential plot advancement, etc. Many times throughout the book, the author was unusually judgemental, with statements like "only freaks and church folks go to the store after work and church" interspersed throughout the book. We are ALL still trying to figure what spiritual insight that statement offers. Good author? Perhaps. Bad book? Definitely!
