This is a disappointment. Its signal is far too weak to have any effect on a medium sized or larger dog at any safe distance. Surely something more robust could be made, even considering the misplaced concerns to protect animals from discomfort at the cost of allowing humans to be bitten. A more capable electronic repeller would be an attractive alternative to a pepper spray. This is not.

doesn't work on all dogs, some it just makes madder, some ignore it, but our neighbors dogs hate it & stop what ever it is they are doing, little yapping dogs, so that made it well worth the purchase.

Does not seem to work for large dogs. Went walking, met large dog, started barking, and continued toward me.

My dog now understands certain behaviors will result in a 1-2 second zap from this device. He does not yelp or seem hurt in anyway. He just stops in his tracks. The jury is still out but this product seems to work the way it was designed.
