This lamp fits in my Samsung HLN tv and the best thing I can say is that it does work. The bulb itself is Osram, which is good. However I paid the extra over the other sellers here on Amazon for a genuine Samsung replacement lamp as described in the item writeup. This item is a knockoff replacement in a much cheaper housing than the lamp I am replacing. I purchased my previous lamp from Samsung and I can attest that the lamp Samsung sold me was in a much more nicely manufactured housing with a sturdy pull handle and not the cheap wire handle on this lamp from Amazon. So, I'm giving it some credit because it is a good bulb, but the housing is not genuine Samsung as advertised. Basically, I am upset that I was misled and probably could have saved 20 bucks with the cheaper lamp and gotten the same quality.

This Samsung BP-00224J DLP Bulb will bulb work well if you match the specifications and electrical connection plug shape carefully when you order your bulb.

I had a Bulb in my Samsung DLP TV which had a different electrical plug shape than the electrical socket in the TV. When that bulb burned out, I ordered a bulb with the same electrical plug shape as the burned out bulb. I would not fit the TV. I had to exchange it for a bulb with the same electrical plug shape as the TV has.

Product worked as advertised. Easy to installed and the quality is excellent. I feel more comfortable with light that is SAMSUNG not an OEM product.

The part I received was NOT an OEM Samsung part as indicated. I was disappointed in not receiving the item I expected to receive with my order. I guess this explains the cheaper price (approx $80 vs $120 for OEM part on Samsung parts website). The lamp I received did not match the picture shown on Amazon when I placed the order, and it is definitely a knock-off lamp. It does work, although I think the TV picture is not as crisp as with the original Samsung lamp. I chose to keep it as a backup lamp, but all the information for my Samsung DLP HD TV shows that OEM parts should always be used.
