Broan BPSF30 Non-Ducted Filter Set for 30-Inch Allure, 2-Pack

They DO fit the Broan Allure QS1 series of range hoods. These filter inserts are smaller than the external aluminum screens that come with the range hood because they are used BEHIND the aluminum screens as an addition. They fit inside the frame of the aluminum screens and have clips to hold them there. These filters came with very clear instructions on how to install them and it is very easy. They work well, but keep in mind, this is non ducted, so all they can do is remove the particulate matter. It definitely helps with grease and smoke while cooking.
I highly recommend this product and this seller ([....]). Super fast delivery!!

From the product description: "Multi-layer with clean sense charcoal and indicator filter set." However what I received was only one layer as it did not contain the indicator filter. That's the layer which is colored with blue and yellow stripes. When the stripes turn to green, that's the indication it's time to change the filter. Given that this indicator layer was fairly dirty when I've replaced filters in the past, it apparently acts as an effective filtration media as well. I wouldn't be lowering to two stars just because I don't get to see the pretty colors change. :-)

Interestingly, what I received was a two pack of shrink-wrapped filters with no manufacturer or model# indicated, just a label with a list of all equivalent filter types from various manufacturers. That was wrapped within another shrink-wrap with a label containing the Broan model number. Somewhat amusing was that I also received directions (within the outer shrink-wrap) which referred to the indicator layer which wasn't even there.

I noticed that none of the other reviewers mentioned this issue, so it's likely that Broan recently either changed their supplier or changed the specs they gave to their supplier, but forgot to make the corresponding change in their marketing materials. (Their website still refers to the indicator layer as being icluded in this model.)

Not worth my time to return given the relatively low cost, the fact that they fit and I'll need to replace them again within the next year anyway. But next time I'll opt for a local purchase where I can see what I'm getting.

VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I RECEIVED THIS ITEM.

DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I SAW ON WEBSITE. WEBSITE SHOWS FILTER SQUARE IN SHAPE WHICH IS THE ORIGINAL FILTER THAT REALLY FITS ON ALLURE QS1, QS2 OR QS3 NON DUCTED AND DUCTED RANGE HOODS. WHAT I RECEIVED WAS RECTANGULAR IN SHAPE.

I RETURNED TWICE THIS PRODUCT AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR WAITING AND WASTING MY TIME.

When I ordered this product I thought I was getting the same filter as I've been buying at Home Depot, which was a BPSF30. These filters do not have the blue and yellow stripes which turn green when it's time to change the filter, even though the instructions with these filters do refer to the stripes and are the exact same instructions as come with the BPSF30 filters from Home Depot. Somehow this is misleading because these filters are NOT the same as the original ones but are sold as if they are. Shame on Amazon.com for selling these filters as if they were the same product when they're NOT.

This is the genuine Broan-branded filter pack for non-ducted installations. They fit my Allure QS130SS 30" perfectly. The item description is incorrect concerning the use indicator on the filter, however, as noted in a previous review. The filters that I received do not have the use indicator colors described in the documentation that came with them. This is somewhat frustrating since this is a nice feature that was present on the filters that came with my original unit. The filters work fine, but the Amazon description should be corrected before additional customers buy this pack under false pretenses. The use indicator is an extremely useful feature and I would not have purchased these had I known it was not actually present. Still, they work and I need them so I am not returning them.

What you get: 2 x charcoal filter inserts, 4 x clips, instruction sheet complete with photographs. These charcoal filter sheets DO NOT replace the plain metal filters. These clip on to your existing filters to add an additional filtering/odor reducing layer. They clip on to your filters with the included clips (2 per filter) and it is easy to follow along with the included instructions. NOTE: if you want to replace your plain metal filters you will need to order a different item -- I can't help you there because I just clean them (the original NON CHARCOAL filters) with engine cleaner, soaking in soapy water, and then copious rinsing.

Product looks as described in listing and fits perfectly. Please note that these filters attach to your supplied mesh screen. These charcoal filters come with spring clips that easily attach to original grease filters and install in just a few minutes.
My hood lists charcoal filter part# 99010308 inside the hood. These filters fit perfectly.

Directions are given, easy to install plus i love the strip inside that works as an indicator. you don't see the dots on strip anymore, means it is time to put in new filters.

This is a very simple review, because the product works great! The shame is that I never knew my Range Hood had these additional filters as part of their original equipment, because someone else just tossed out the old ones without replacing them. I'd always cursed my Range Hood's performance - or lack thereof. Now the thing finally works. These fit perfectly into the main filters and act as kind of a 2-stage filter system. BUY THEM - it's worth it!!!

I found these at Amazon at about 60% the cost at a local big box outlet. However I was somewhat concerned after reading reviews saying these were not as advertised. Decided to give it a try as we need these filter replacements regularly. They were delivered exactly as described including the change indicator, the same product I found locally, and on the manufactures web site. They fit perfectly and work very well. I would highly recommend this product as a reasonable alternative to a fully ducted ventilation hood.
