4.0 out of 5 stars Great Shaver
I can not see how ANYONE could give this shaver a 1. This is why i almost hate reading user reviews anymore. Before i bought this shaver there was one person who gave it a 5 and two who gave it a 1 and i hesitated buying but but im glad i went through with it. They said you don't get a case with the shaver which is UNTRUE. You definitly do. The main i want from a shaver...

2.0 out of 5 stars Trimmer is Useless
It looks sleek and is small and lightweight. Unfortunately, the pop-OUT trimmer is useless. It pops out about 2/3 of the way up so you can't see what you're trimming and can't cut those long hairs that the foil refuses to cut. Why do so many models have useless trimmers? The shave is close, but it takes forever. Although sleek-looking, this one's going back.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Shaver, December 29, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

The main i want from a shaver is a close shave and this one performes. I only had one electric shaver before this a corded norelco unit that is horride. It has the lift and cut system and does not cut close at all. I think the "lift & cut" is a gimic really if you look at the blades really close. Im rating this on overall performance/features and not on performance/price ratio or i would have given it a 5. The reviewers who said the side trimmer doesn't work well are right but i really couldn't care as i wouldn't use it anyways. Other than that the only thing that could make it better would be a self cleaning system and the ability to use it in the shower....but what do you expect for this price

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Shaver, January 5, 2011
This review is from: BRAUN 4615 Twin Control WET/DRY CHARGE INDICATOR (Health and Beauty)
I owned this shaver for about three years until it finally burned out. The trimmer never really worked, but I loved it all the same. I'm glad to recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars This one is going back., January 25, 2004
This review is from: BRAUN 4615 Twin Control WET/DRY CHARGE INDICATOR (Health and Beauty)
I bought mine last week and have been very disappointed. It did not come with a case, the side mounted trimmer is virtually useless, and the slidng switch is very hard to activate.

Every other shaver I ever bought came with a "travel" case to keep it's various parts together. This one didn't.

The Trimmer folds out at a right angle to the body of the razor which puts it completely in the wrong position for proper use in trimming hair.

The sliding switch was designed with a built in lock which is pushed in to allow switching to the On positions. I found the switch on this shaver very difficult to activate. I was hoping after several days it would wear in and become easier. Instead it has gotten significantly worse, to the point where it is barely usable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Slow, can't handler longer stubble, April 14, 2005
This review is from: BRAUN 4615 Twin Control WET/DRY CHARGE INDICATOR (Health and Beauty)
This may be true in general about foil shavers, but this shaver cannot handle anything but very short stubble. Being blond, I can get away with shaving every 2-3 days. This shaver is not a good choice unless you shave every day.

The side trimmer is a little akward, and this shaver needs a full charge every time to take on my beard. I bought this because I thought it would be a good travel shaver. I'd hoped I could charge it once and use it for a week or two. This shaver can only shave my beard once maybe twice before getting tired and needing a recharge. Plugging in the shaver doesn't make it run faster, you need to wait for it to charge first.

It's a cute shaver but doesn't cut it for my thick beard and every-other-day shaving style.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT THE TRIMMER PROBLEM ONLY!, January 3, 2005
This review is from: BRAUN 4615 Twin Control WET/DRY CHARGE INDICATOR (Health and Beauty)
I bought this for my husband as a replacement for a PANASONIC ES7017. I didn't want to bother w/ replacement foil cutters, so I jumped on the Friday deal. Even for $19.90, this shaver isn't worth ordering. 1st - it's soooo small, 2nd- either the foil cutters are bad, or the whole shaver is not powerfull enough (took 25mins to shave, as opposed to 10mins w/ the old Panasonic), 3rd- the trimmer can't possibly perform as a trimmer, 4th- fedex?/ups? delivered in a torn box. Conclusion-don't buy this product!
