Muptiple plus features with compact footprint,

This little classic makes two mugs of coffee--perfect if you like freshly brewed coffee for one or two. In comparing this with the Capresso and Kitchenaid 4 cup models (which I have also owned), the following features make this my hands down favorite:* reliably brews great coffee * compact footprint--takes very little room on the counter * carafe has no metal band, as all the other 4 cup carafes do; this makes it possible to gently rewarm coffee in the microwave in the carafe * totally removable basket also swings out to the side * easy to clean water reservoir--unlike the Capresso, which has nooks and crannies even a cotton tipped swab won't reach! * removable water level indicator, allowing it to be rinsed and cleaned if ants ever take up residence Suggestion: Buy the black model. Sooner or later, coffee will stain the white. Note: The 4 cup size is also great for:

This review is from: BRAUN KF12B - Aromaster 4-cup Coffee Maker (Kitchen)
Pros:- Small footprint - Solidly built on/off switch (unlike the Mr Coffee TFX23 machine- which had a tiny pushbutton on/off switch that finally got jammed after 1 month). - Little red ball floats in the water level gauge on the side of the unit so you can see CLEARLY where the water level is. This seems like a minor point until you've used one without the ball (again the Mr Coffee). Without the ball it is hard to discern where the water level is because you are peering through a transparent medium that is usually clouded by condensation on the wall of the unit. - Comes with gold filter - not like other coffee makers that make you BUY one (again Mr Coffee needs to take some lessons here.) - The caraffe is cylindrical which makes it MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN. The Mr Coffee ones curve to a smaller opening which makes it hard to stick your hand in. Cons: NONE. This is the second Braun I've owned. The first one I used for almost a decade before the caraffe finally broke. So I went to the local store to find a Braun caraffe but NOPE, they only had Mr Coffees. So out of desperation to maintain my regular dosage level of caffeine, I bought the Mr Coffee TFX23. It cost me ten dollars more than this Braun and the push button got jammed after a month. So I learned my lesson. Stick to Braun. Their designs are SIMPLE and PERFECT.
