Product Description

Only the most daring drivers (or the craziest) are able to pull of these amazing stunts. They need to be one tough cookie in order to get behind the while of a motorcycle and launch themselves off a ramp without any safety net. In DareDevil Rider you can attempt these awesome stunts from your mobile device…without risking your life or a lot of serious injuries.

In DareDevil Rider YOU are the ultimate acrobatic stuntman! Test your skills and overcome intense obstacles to pull off the stunts. You’ll be expected to jump through rings of fire and over obstacles like trucks, cars, airplanes, helicopters...and few other surprising objects. Your goal is to land on the braking ramp that marks the end of the level.

Without precision and accuracy you won’t last very long…you should optimize your jump power and don’t waste it impulsively. If you fall off the ramp you won´t get hurt, but your stuntman won´t be very happy about it. Luckily you’re able to try as many times as you want!

Get points by catching coins as you fly through the air, by completing stunts, doing wheelies, stoppies or by making the perfect landing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flurry Ads and Analytics June 16, 2014

Despite others saying they didn't "experience" any ads, or that ads have been removed, as of this writing Addons Detector is reporting BOTH on the version I just downloaded. Fine for people who want to trade their privacy for a freebie, but these are supposed to be PAID versions of these Apps making such intrusions totally unacceptable.

Lots of reviewers are claiming that Daredevil Rider Pro is fun and that I will keep it on my device for a while... That didn't happen.
I will also try to keep this review fairly short, since there is not much to the game.

First of all it is full of spyware/bloatware (Flurry Ads and Analytics), and my firewall stopped a ton of attempts to access the internet before I finally told it to lock the whole shebang down.
Why the developer doesn't disclose this, I have no idea. Not that they seem like they care about users anyway, since their privacy policy page is literally gone. It was moved or deleted, but is still linked to in countless places. Check the comments section for the info.

Second, it is just a standard runner/rider game. Yes there are "stunts", but really it's the same thing over and over (and over) again!. The whole game goes like this: Start, press "speed up", when you get to a ramp - press the "forward" or "backward flip" button. To finish the level you just land and stop. That's it - that is the whole game. Oh, it may throw in some other nonsense your way (like jumping off the bike and hitting a target), but the gameplay is very tired and limited. There are lots of better games out there, and they don't contain the bane of the Android world (Flurry junk).

Finally, the game crashed twice on my tablet. Although that could have been because my firewall kept going nuts over its attempts to access the internet.

The only saving grace Daredevil Rider Pro has, are the bright and cheery graphics, the peppy sound, and the exaggerated physics. If not for those, I would have rated it a 1/5.

Is it worth the download as today's free app of the day? That depends, if you are into generic runners and don't mind Flurry, yes. I already removed it from my device.

4.0 out of 5 stars 5-Stars once the adware/spyware is removed June 16, 2014

[Much thanks to Tinfoot who pointed out that the difficulty setting and control settings were found behind the Pause menu (upper left, in case you missed it like me.)]

This app is actually pretty good but it contains the Flurry spyware, the Flurry Ads adware, and the Facebook developer tools. I plan on keeping it, but running it without internet access. Without these, I'd give it 5-stars even if it does have some quirks in controls.

Regarding the difficulty, I suppose it depends on your device for a large part. The first level took almost five minutes to complete. Once I finally got the hang of it (excuse the pun), controlling it wasn't too bad.

One excellent addition is the 'skip' feature. The game counts how many attempts at a level you've made, displaying a countdown number next to the fast-forward symbol on the screen after a fail, and once the counter goes away you can skip the level. There are three or four lands, each with a lot of levels; the first land - Grand Canyon - has a jaw-dropping 90 levels. The world screen shows four lands, but only three contain labels.

The 3D graphics and sound are terrific, and the fail scenes can be quite amusing. This is a Unity-based game, so the graphics and the sound should be expected to be very good, and the installation is quite large due to this as well. The flipside is that Unity is made for modern medium-to-high-end systems. Inexpensive or older models may have some difficulty playing or even installing.

BOTTOM LINE: Very nice game, but the Flurry garbage drops it a star.

3.0 out of 5 stars Potential, Just Not the Polish June 16, 2014

"What's new in version 1.0.6
We have exclude from the app code the ads library it had."

Well, guess the past stink concerning active ad modules has worked although the original Network Permissions and standard coded analytics are still there.

DAREDEVIL RIDER PRO didn't do much for me. The overall feel has a mixture of clunky sensitivity along with some minor issues. If you get enjoyment in watching a animated dude eat dirt sandwiches ... a lot... then you may enjoy this.

Another massive RAM eater, this time no option to reduce the 180+ megabyte footprint. The 47mb game can be manually moved to an external card, and the back-key does exit cleanly. No ads, GameCircle pushes, or any such guff that I saw.

During play, hit the pause button to get a couple settings choices. Controls have two different options, either defaulted wheelie buttons or using the device's motion tilt, both sharing throttle/break buttons on the right hand side. The motion tilt is somewhat awkward. The other choice is difficulty level, defaulted normal and "tricycle" easy. The Level Selection Screen has a Mute button that simply did not work on my Samsung Tab 3, a link to what I guess is the Publishing House, and a Credits screen.

There is plenty of levels with design variations per thematic stunt world. The graphical renderings aren't the smoothest thing around, nor are the rather limited controls. Accelerate, and if you are feeling froggy, flip forward or backward somewhat sluggishly while in the air, relying on the same slow rotation to even out for landing. And only use break tapping... long presses will make you flip like a lead-filled flap jack. The music is a warbly honky-tonk that made me scream, "Tune that thar gee-tar, will yah!?
