Customer Reviews

The music that plays is strange and the night light isn't very bright.

We bought this mirror about a year and half ago because we mostly travel at night and we needed a way to see our LO in the dark car.

The headrest attachment has two cloth parts with wire lining ( I suppose so it holds the shape) with useless velcro on one end, appears to be for connecting it to the other cloth piece. It also has an adjustable clasp. You loosen it, clasp it, get the mirror in position, then tighten the hell out of it so the mirror can't move.

The mirror itself is a little blurry, but they all seem to be, and ours has become scuffed from use (I assume from being taken down and moved around. I used it on a trip this weekend and was able to see him clear enough.

The light is bright enough not to wake a sleeping baby when its shined right in their face. You think the light is too soft at first but when you turn it on in darkness all of a sudden your trying to turn it off for fear that it may be too much. I haven't had LO woken up by it yet, but I just wanted to emphasize that for all the reviewers that say the light isn't bright enough. At least the one I have works well. The light is turned on by the remote and fairly quickly, sometimes too quickly, turns off. It can also be turned off by pressing the light button on the remote again.

The music is decent, its a chime-y, baby sounding, classical selection of maybe 3 or 4 songs. You can move through the possible selections or skip the ones you don't like by pressing the music button. My son loves it, it doesn't bother me at all.

I would recommend turning the back of the mirror off when not in use, and if it's not going to be used for a while, taking the batteries out all together is a good idea.

I love the mirror. It's so nice to be able to check on my son in the car.

The music is creepy and no good. Don't buy this for the music feature and expect anything more than blah.

The light is crap. It's not bright enough to see anything in the dark, much less the baby. The light isn't even bright enough to distract the baby from being upset.

The remote doesn't work half the time.

Do two wrongs make a right? No. This was a gift but for anyone spending their own money on it, decide if just a mirror will do and get that or search for one that comes recommended.

I got this car mirror for my third child. Wanted to be able to see her instead of asking the other too if she was asleep or not.

I think its one of the best mirror out there, I can clearly see my baby, all of her since its big enough. The latch system is cloth covered so it won't damage your headrest. You also have the option of the velcro closure. My mirror stays in place, and does not move at all.

The light works great, its not so bright as to wake the baby or bother her eyes with it but lets you see them when you need to.

Having the remote is awesome. Not only do you control the mirrors functions but it entertains the other kids who constantly want to change the music and turn on the light (if you let them).

The music is a soothing classical selection and its not bothersome at all like other baby toys are. I can hear it for long periods of time without it becoming annoying. Even the big kids find it soothing and relaxing.

The mirror itself is great - it's big and clear, perfect for keeping an eye on my fuss-pot. The other features, however, are useless - you know, the ones you buy this particular mirror for. The light isn't bright enough to see the baby, at least in the city perhaps because the eyes are adjusted for street lights and such. I haven't tested it out in rural areas to see if it works better when there are no other lights around, but then, I live in the city, so I don't really need to. The music is crap, very tinny and pointless when you're in a car, at least a modern one which can hook up to a music device or at least play cds.

The stars are for the mirror itself the rest needs improvement.

This mirror moves all around and is impossible to keep centered on the baby. Most trips it doesn't point at her, so what it is doing for us really. I will try to rig something to hold it in place, but I feel like it should come with a way to hold it in place, right?

The light is extremely dim/unusable for any purpose. The music is obnoxious, so we mostly just use this mirror for looking at the ceiling of the car.

I LOVE this mirror. It has a little remote that you clip on your sun visor so you can turn on/off the music and a little light. My daughter loves the music on this thing. She could be fussy and cranky and once I turn this on, she is good. I don’t know what it is about that music. Some of the reviews say it’s loud, but I don’t think it is – I can’t even tell if it is on sometimes when I have the radio on too. It definitely beats the plain ole mirror I had prior to this.

I like this mirror because it is simple and the coloring goes really well with the interior of my car which I know sounds silly but still. I also like the lamp. It is really easy to see my baby when the light is on at night an she really likes being able to see herself.
Why I gave it 3 stars? I think the music is too loud and there is no way to adjust it with the remote. Also I wish the light wouldn't turn off so quickly. I wish the light would stay on until I chose to turn it off.
Anyways my daughter does enjoy looking at her reflection and when I am driving I can easily see her.
