Product Description

The Bridjit expandable 3-piece rubber curb ramp protects the undercarriage of vehicles from damage when driving over rolled curb driveway entries. Rubber from recycled tires makes this curb ramp resistant to weather and street sweepers, and allows parallel-parking. The 3-piece/12-foot set includes a left-side, center, and right-side section for installation on both curved and straight driveway entries. Additional 48-inch wide center sections (sold separately) can be purchased to increase coverage beyond 12 feet. Galvanized bolts measure 1/2 x 7-1/2-inch and are pre-inserted into the center section to connect the three sections. Each section weighs 50 pounds and measures 2-1/2 x 48 x 16 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The 2-1/2" height at the center tapers to 3/4-inch at the top and bottom of the ramp. A 2-1/2-inch wide channel on the underside of each section allows water to flow under the ramp, accommodating storm runoff and tapered ends help prevent the buildup of debris. Bridjit Curb Ramps are placed in the gutter of a rolled curb driveway entry to create a gradual slope between the top of the curb and street. Bridjit Curb Ramps are designed to reduce the impact of a rolled curb entry by as much as 80% and can be used for protect the undercarriage of all types of vehicles, such as cars, trucks, golf carts, motorcycles, boat trailers and can be used to facilitate the movement of wheeled carts and hand trucks. Curb ramps are commonly made of rubber, plastic, or metal. They may consist of a single piece or multiple interconnecting pieces, and may be portable or permanently installed. Bridjit Inc. manufactures curb ramps. The company, founded in 2008, is headquartered in Kent, WA.

I am delighted by the quality of the product and just blown away by the exceptional customer service. The owner, John Curry, is a very smart entrepreneur, truly cares about customer satisfaction and went to extraordinary lengths to resolve an issue I was facing.

The ramps: They are just great. They have resolved the bumpy entry and exits from a high curb for my cars. They are of a robust construction; the assembly instructions are clear and they work exactly as advertised.

The service: This is my recommendation for their outstanding service - it is very hard to find companies that stand behind their product and really care about the customer's experience. Bridjit Curb Ramps is amongst the rare few and they have earned my business and referrals.

I found that the ramps were not sitting snug between the street and the curb, and were rocking. I sent an email to info@ and John called me right away. I was amused by John's innovative approach as a high-tech detective. We were both looking at the street view of my house on Google Maps; he zoomed in on the curb and saw that the channel between the street and the curb is shallow. John sent me another set of ramps that were specially modified for fitting in shallow channels. I have installed them and very happy with the new set.

What's the big deal here?: On a $300 sale, John has sent a new set of ramps and spent $150 in shipping charges ($75 for shipping for the new ramps, $75 for shipping for returning the original ones). He has traded off profits to keep one customer happy and satisfied. How many businesses/business owners do you know of who would do this today?

Disclaimer: I ordered this from Bridjit directly and not through Amazon and do not own the product.

This was about the best customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered it early on a Saturday morning. Within half an hour, I received a call from Bridjit (I believe he was the creator of the product AKA the "boss"). He did some research while on the phone via Google street-view and came to the conclusion that this was not the right solution for me. He explained in detail why it wouldn't be appropriate and spent some time discussing why that was the case (in my case, it's more of a dip in the sidewalk vs. the gutter). He invalidated my order after I let him know that it was OK. So I wound up avoiding spending a significant amount of money on something that probably wouldn't work.

These guys could have easily just let me pay up and get a product that wouldn't work for me, but they went through the process of investigating my situation (without *any* prompting on my part). This is practically unheard of in the retail industry. Again, on a Saturday morning! These guys really care about their customers.

I wish I could give a review on the product itself, but I must give them 5 stars just based on their unprecedented customer service.

This is a great easy to put together product that if you have a steep curb into your driveway, will definitely smooth things out. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it definitely met and exceeded my wants and needs. Driving in and out of my driveway is a synch and I no longer worry about tearing up my Porsche when pulling in or out. It's a slight eye-sore, but well worth it.

Anyone with cars that are low to the ground - like sports cars or with ground effects (my husband has a custom Roush Mustang) will love these. He could not get the car into the driveway due to the incline of the driveway for water drainage. He had to back in at an angle and it took him the longest time to get the car up the drive and parked in the garage. Now, he can pull right in or back in, his choice and it's perfect!! Also, we live in a pretty picky community, both from the HOA and the City inspectors. They drove by (The City Inspector) - stopped, looked at the ramps, smiled and waved at my husband. Basically letting him know they were perfect within code. Now we have several neighbors grabbing the web address and telling us they are going to order them for their driveways.

Final note.. these dudes are "heavy" so make sure if you are not strong, you have someone to help you get them into place. We had a major storm here, huge amount of water running (we live just off a wash) and they only moved maybe an inch! Not sure how much they weigh, but I'm guessing a couple hundred pounds.

Note: we have two ends and the center pieces)

My housemate and I both have low clearance cars (Toyotas) and my driveway has scrape marks from years of friends and family hitting their bumpers every time they come in or back out. Code requires our street curb to be what it is, and I liked this as an alternative to what other neighbors have concocted from gravel, boards and other workarounds to alleviate the problem. Durable, long lag bolts underneath a bit tough to insert through pre-drilled holes, but I didn't use the lug nuts provided to hold them in. A bit expensive for what it is (recycled tires) but free shipping helps overall cost considerably. Made in USA; other alternatives found were mostly Canadian with US distributors.
