5.0 out of 5 stars A good read, November 28, 2006
This review is from: BRINYSIDE CHOWDER, A Mrs. Millet & Mrs. Hark Mystery (Paperback)
I love the descriptions! the author really catches the nuances of a small beach town. By the time I finished reading it, I was dying for a bowl of clam chowder (wish she had added the recipe!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Two lovable characters really hold your attention., November 5, 2006

Sit back with a cup of tea and a sandwich because you won't want to stop reading. All the characters are very real. The plot moves at a pace that keeps you glued to the recliner. The small details are so real you feel you can walk down the street and know right where you are. Mrs. Millet and Mrs. Hark are so lovable, and so down to earth. The story has a suprise ending and of course they see that JUSTICE is done in this small but bustling Orgeon Coast community.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this great read!, November 2, 2006

This review is from: BRINYSIDE CHOWDER, A Mrs. Millet & Mrs. Hark Mystery (Paperback)
Brinyside Chowder is just a delight. The delight's in the details. You can smell the Brinyside seaside, taste the chowder, see the dilapidated but homey cabins as Margaret Millet and friends restore order, and law too. This is one of those books where even as you want to know how it turns out, you dread its ending, because then you won't have another chapter to look forward to! I have enjoyed all the Mrs. Millet and Mrs. Hark mysteries, but I think this is the best of the lot, just a pleasure to savor. Thank you, Margaret Searles!
