You know, I've heard a lot of ppl express disappointment that the cover is not creative or edgy.. but Britney's covers really have never been super creative. Instead, what this cover does is make her look very pretty and give the kind of innocence and broad appeal that she needs to sell gazillions of records. which she will. She looks clean cut, fresh and very pretty, and thats what people will see and think of when they see the album in stores. She will do very well with this album, and the album cover will help.
I think if you look at evey album cover she's ever done you'd notice her decent into insanity. When she first approached the meat grinder of fame, she clean, innocent-looking, and smiled with optimism.
Now? The loud, ugly garish yet subtle colors, the look on her face reminds me of many a stripper asking me if I want a lap dance, and to be honest, the title is appropriate - her mind is a three-ring MESS.
p.s. - am I the only one who has noticed the Madonna-Brit connection in how the album looks similar in sepia tone (and content) as Madonna's album "Music"?
I love the cover... I loved the "Blackout" album itself but I thought the cover was awful becuase it looked so poorly photoshopped and she was so ghostly pale and depressed-looking- but I really like the "Circus" cover- her hair is gorgeous and she looks like her old self- innocent and beautiful. PS- Wow, it does look kinda Country... I never noticed that before... LOL
