I'm no expert on binoculars like a lot of reviewers, but am very happy with this pair. When reading reviews on other pairs, a lot of reviewers complained of blurriness or lack of clarity for closer objects. This pair is crisp at all distances, including objects only 20 feet away like bird feeders. I upgraded to this pair from a pair of 7x35 binoculars, and the increase in zoom is well worth it. The binoculars also have a nice, clean look to them and have a soft rubber grip. The picture doesn't do it justice, but they look and feel like a more expensive pair.

BSA 12X50 Full Size Binocular

June 8, 2011
FIRST: I am an absolute novice with binoculars. However, I do have a couple of Bushnell that I do enjoy.

I bought these as they are stronger than my old binoculars, which I use for bird watching. I have really bad eyesight, even with eyeglasses. These are just right for me! I am now able to locate and identify small birds which I could not see even with my old 8x40 binoculars. These lenses allow for more light which is a real aide for me and the 12X magnification is a must for me. I do wish these were fog resistant like my Bushnell but you learn to work around that. I can now see the 4" birds clearly and love that! I am glad that I purchased these and would recommend them to others.

What a shame. The Binocular feels like it is well made, but quality control in manufacturing leaves a lot to be desired. No matter how hard you try, you just can't get a sharp focus with these. I have a 45 year old 7x50 Asahi Pentax Binocular that provides crystal clear images, but this BSA unit is a huge disappointment!

Sadly, it is almost impossible these days to buy quality products as Amazon reviews indicate. What ever happened to pride in workmanship, and a work ethic where customer satisfaction was an important goal? Both seem to be only a faint memory in today's world where everything is imported from Asia. Just once I would like to buy something made in China that makes me feel afterwards like my money was well spent (rather than wasted).

These are a pretty good pair of binoculars for $40. They are very clear, easy to focus, and fit the hands well so they are comfortable to hold. I bought them to leave at deer camp and have used them quite often to watch a feeder about 150 yards away. they are 12x so for $40 they are hard to beat.

I don't know much about binoculars except that the price can vary greatly, so I assumed purchasing a less expensive set was a risk, but I am quite pleased with the quality from what I know about them.

I had a pair of BSA 10X50 for a couple of years until wife nocked them off table and they landed on the eye relief and broke right side. I decided that since my first pair worked great and I never had a problem needing fog/water proof binoculars that I would just go with BSA again. Found these on amazon at a great price of $21 on sale and figured the be great. I was wrong because no matter how much I try to get them to focus and not show double they just will not work. I thought it might be me but others say the same thing. I do not know if they had a bad shipment or this model just does not work. They wanted me to pay to ship them in for repairs with a $10 check for shipping them back. That would add another $20 to total cost and no guarantee that they would work right.
