BSN Lean Dessert Protein, Fresh Cinnamon Roll 1.38 Pounds

I really gotta hand it to BSN. This Cinnamon Roll flavor is amazing. I can't believe this is a protein shake. It tastes rich and creamy (and really bad for you)! My downfall is nighttime eating and this is a perfect diet tool to kill your appetite when you want something sweet at night.

I became interested in BSN after learning of their exotic flavors -- way beyond the boring chocolate/vanilla/strawberry of 90% of other protein shakes. This flavor has made me a BSN convert. Can't wait to try the other ones.

My tip for a perfect mix: Use very very cold water, add an ice cube or two, and use a Bullet type blender. A blender gives it an amazing frothy creamy texture. Hand mixing/shaking just doesn't get it as smooth and creamy.

The things preventing me from giving it five stars:
-Uses Corn Syrup Solids as sweetener.
-Contains virtually no fiber (<1g) So add a scoop of Benefiber to fix this.
-Contains no vitamins (and scant amounts of minerals). So it's not a meal replacement.

It's purely protein. But the most delicious protein I've ever had!

EDIT: I wanted to review another flavor, but Amazon won't let users create reviews for different "editions" of products. So I just wanted to note that the Banana Nut flavor is good, but not great. It has a very pronounced powdered milk flavor that really overpowers whatever banana or nut flavor are in there (which are pretty weak).

I had weight loss surgery and its been a real struggle for me to find a protein powder i can tolerate, much less like. Its been 6 months and it wasn't till I tried the lean dessert brand (fresh cinnamon roll) that I finally found a protein powder that tasted good! And with 8oz of my milk i get 31g of protein! Thats way better than the 17g i was getting with EAS. And not only was it delicious, it kept me soooo full that i ate so much less throughout the day and it boosted my weight loss. Since then I've ordered the banana cream pudding and the chocolate coconut bar flavors. so far i've tried the banana cream pudding and its SOOOOO GOOD! omg its insane. i could eat the powder thats how good it is. no strong smell, no funky taste. just delicious. i'm a little concerned with the fact that there are corn syrup solids in this though. should i be worried? i don't know. i haven't heard anyone else on here talk about that so i'm going to assume its ok. the fact that its not the purest protein is already less than desirable. so far i've been losing weight though.

This protein powder is amazing!! It not only tastes great, it really curbs my appetite. I have to make sure I am eating enough now...before, my appetite would take care of that for me :) With Cinnamon Roll (my favorite flavor), I add a little cinnamon on top-very yummy!

Allow me to qualify the header for this review. Tastes AWESOME for a protein powder. Meaning it's pretty good tasting stuff. It's not a true "dessert" for most people, but for the calorie-conscious who want a tasty snack in the evening and also want to fuel bodies that are resting this is the answer. While not as "lean" as some of BSNs other products such as Syntha-6 this is a tasty product and it tastes almost exactly like a real cinnamon roll. It can also be used as a supplement for baking. I've used it, I like it, it's tasty and seems to quell those "midnight" cravings for a sugar laden snacks.

The fresh cinnamon roll flavor isn't too bad. I had high expectations for the product and was disappointed with this flavor. I use other BSN products and I am more than satisfied with them! I simply mixed it with water for my shake before bed, maybe next time I will try making in the blender with a little skim milk and ice. It does seem like it would go well with some oatmeal in the morning. Overall, it truly isn't too bad but did not live up to what I was hoping. I ordered this flavor and the whipped vanilla which I will try tomorrow!

This stuff is actually pretty tasty as far as protein powders go. It isn't too chalky and does have a strong cinnamon roll flavor. As to be expected there is a bit of an artificial taste to it, but I guess I'll suffer through that and reap the nutritional rewards rather than actually eat a cinnamon roll as a snack.

Loved this protein powder. Very tasty and easy to whir up into a nice thick shake.

I used this product prior to and during the month after my Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. Finding good tasting, low carb protein mixes is difficult. Lean Deserts are yummy! This also mixes up nice and thick, which is nice when you've been on liquids for four weeks or so! The Cinnamon Roll is TO DIE FOR! And the Banana Nut is very good as well!

This is the best tasting shake I've tried! Very satisfiying. Cann't wait to try other flavors!
