This definitely one of the better weight gainers available today, not full of empty calories but actually has some good quality nutrients along with a ton of protein and complex carbs. No need to take more than one serving at a time, will just go straight in the toilet if you do. Gotta play by the digestive systems rules. There are certain times of the day where your body can't wait an hour for the protein to digest; right when you wake up, pre workout, during workout, post workout. For this I'd also recommend adding some type of amino acid, 500 Grams Free Form Amino Acids Bulk Powder. I'll usually take 10 grams two times a day, and when in bulking phase two servings of True-Mass, at different times of course.

I'm one of those people who can't gain weight even if I were to inject pure bacon grease through an IV into my arteries... Through the years I've used multiple different high calorie weight gainers along with working out and this one is so far the best, by a long shot. I've used some with higher calorie counts before, but they did not taste well and were super thick, almost to the point you had to chew them... Pretty gross. I've ordered quite a few containers of this BSN now, have had chocolate a few times and just started getting strawberry and they all mix up in 16oz of water very easily using a blender bottle. For the chocolate I add 2-3 teaspoons of Nestle Quik to it... makes it taste quite a bit better. The strawberry to me is the better tasting of the two and also seemingly lighter/smoother. One odd thing, every container I've had of these have included a different scoop. I could swear that the scoop size changes... I don't know if this is normal or what, but it sure is strange. As far as performance goes, it does work. I don't have actual numbers from a scale, but I can visually tell that my workouts are more effective while on the BSN than other weight gainers I have used in the past.

Amazon subscribe and save sweetens the deal. I have it so it sends me both strawberry and chocolate at different intervals. I will probably try vanilla eventually too.

Currently my oldest is on medication that curbs his appetite significantly. To augment his intake we were recommended to have him take some weight gain supplement. After some searching and talking to other parents with this issue we came here to Amazon to order this product. We have now purchased every flavor over the last 5 months. My son has gained back an appropriate amount of weight for his age.

Pros:
+ Tasty flavors that can be switched month to month to keep him interested.
+ Mixes easily with the right mixing utensil (more on this later).
+ Very large quantity of product means it will last a long time with recommended use

Cons:
- Mixing by hand can be an exercise in futility.
- Any mix left in the glass left out becomes like concrete (Clean out glass immediately).

Ownership tip:
It is important to use a proper mixing glass to make this mix completely dissolve. The recommended amount is 2 scoops for 1 glass of milk. If you put those scoops in first and then pour in the milk it may not mix correctly. Something like this:Blender Bottle Mini may be needed. A spoon is just about useless. The mix that we have had the most success mixing is the cookies and cream.

Summary:
This mix when added to a nutritious diet can augment those with unwanted weight loss issues. The mixes are tasty and that helps to keep the person interested in drinking it every day. Mixing up the flavors every other month means you have only a repeat flavor every 6 months. Not bad!
