I Dig Excavation Adventures let kids become modern day dinosaur hunters and archaeologists. Using steel tools, kids dig through dust-free Dinostone rock to unearth replica dinosaur bones and Egyptian artifacts.

Using a steel hammer and chisel, your little archaeologist can dig up replica, snap-together bones of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, reassemble the pieces and paint the skeleton for display in their very own dinosaur museum. I bought the Ceratosaurus Skeleton for my 7 year old for Christmas and he sat at the table all day. He loved finding the bones one by one. We gave him a paint brush for wiping away the sand as he chisels. My husband and I can't believe how involved he is. He loves dinosaurs, but it's the activity of finding the bones that makes this worth the money. He's already asking for more. One note: We had a big flat box with shallow sides and took one side off and put it on the kitchen table. It will be a great summer outside activity.

If you have a dinosaur fan in your life, I highly suggest purchasing one of these sets. My father bought the T-Rex and the Velociraptor for my 4 year old's birthday. He had no problem chipping away at the stone and unearthing dinosaur bones! He was completely engrossed in the activity, proudly wore his Paleontologist glasses and has found other ways to play with the high-quality tools from the kit! Great item, great fun.

I got this for my nephew's 8th birthday. He loves dinosaurs and wants to be a paleontologist. My sister said he sat down and played with this from start to finish which took all day. He really loved it.

The box itself is quite heavy- so take shipping costs into consideration when buying.
