Yes, I did purchase the product a few years ago, as the two games are arcade perfect. Bubble Bobble was my ultimate fave, and I had gotten this one, as the theme music heard in the arcade version, was so beautiful and dream-like that it had made me cry. The action was a ton of fun, and trapping monsters inside of bubbles and bursting them seems like a very simple and addicting game concept. As for Rainbow Islands, It's a very colorful sequel to Bubble Bobble by destroying monsters and collecting goodies,powerups with rainbows. You can also use rainbows to climb to higher levels, as the island sinks if you stay too long on a level. A very magical game. The only Big downside to Bubble Bobble is that within the options screen, you have the option of selecting the languages English or Japanese to display the messages during the game. Just out of curiosity I had chosen the Japanese language, and immediately I had been prompt with a black screen with a message Warning me that this version was only meant to be distributed in the arcades in Japan and is not licensed for home use. (Sounds Illegal!) I had even attempted to contact the company for questions and they told me that it's not their software or they didn't make it. So I had shredded the DVD figuring that it was an illegal copy of the games.
