Although this book contains a few moderately useful suggestions, most of the book is a waste of time. Fortunately, it won't take up much of your time to read it because it is so simple. Many pages are simply blank lines, where you are supposed to answer questions. Some chapters contain such simplistic information that it is hard to believe someone would actually write it down.

I did not understand how so many people could have possibly given this book a good review until I read the chapter "How to Get and Use Testimonials." Then it because a little more clear.

I gave this book two stars instead of only one because it did have a handful of useful ideas in it. However, those ideas were not worth the price of the book. The book doesn't contain any insights that you could not figure out on your own or find online with a minimal amount of effort.

The book was not completely useless, but pretty close. The notion that is book is a twelve week program is quite an overstatement. It would not take twelve weeks for anyone of reasonable intelligence to work through this book. A more accurate description or title would be "A Few Useful Tips For Marketing Your Practice."

I am in the process of starting a private practice and this was the first book I bought on this subject. I agree with the previous review that there really wasn't much information in the book that was helpful, especially for the price! The material that is covered in this book is actually covered much better in books that I've read about self-publishing.
In summary, yes, there are a few good ideas but it is clear that the book won't help me much in my goal to start a private practice.

I'm currently using David Steele's book to help me develop my coaching practice. The book includes simple, yet powerful exercises which can be completed on a weekly basis, a generous array of practice building tips, and an appendix that contains even more helpful resources. By completing these exercises, I've gained a much better vision as to the business I want to create for me and my clients. It has helped me define where I am now, where I want to be, and how to get there. I would definitely recommend this book to others who are developing a coaching practice.

Great book. Not only is it filled with "how to accomplish" areas such as external marketing,it also provides you a process to develop your business. It starts with focusing on who you want to work with and walks you through a solid process. The book has practical examples that comes from working with many individuals. It helped me focus on my niches.

90 Days has been invaluable to me. I have used it not only to build my personal business, but also to help my clients create the practice they envisioned. I have used the 90 Days program successfully for a chiropractor, a massage therapist, a yoga instructor, an attorney, an insurance salesperson, and a career coach, all within 6 months of purchasing the book.

The listing of free resources will pay for the book many times over, if you use any of those services, and most do.

This is going to be the definitive book to help professionals market their businesses both effectively and economically!

I launched my relationship coaching practice in August 2002 and read David Steele's "How to Build Your Ideal Practice in 90 Days" as part of his teleclass. Doing this work was like putting a stick of dynamite under my new business! It helped me get crystal clear about my vision, purpose, goals, target market, niche, how I deliver my services, my elevator speech and much, much more. I didn't think I had the time to take on another "project", but reading this book and applying the principles turned out to be the MOST important project!

The book is jam-packed with useful resources, tips, techniques and tools that will be a catalyst for any helping professional. It's a must read... and a must do!

This book is very "hands on," leading the reader through a step-by-step process that, if followed, will lead to positive results. The main challenge anyone has in develop a successful practice in anything is TIME, and David Steele's book is a definite help in using that time wisely and for maximum positive effect. I found it most helpful in beginning my coaching practice, and I heartily recommend it.

David Steel's book "How to Build Your Ideal Practice in 90 Days", is like making Kool-Aid on a warm day. He gives you ingredients that are familiar, but until you've read his book, you don't know how to blend them. David blends!
David gives you tips, principals and suggestions to be successful with a since that he is there with you reading each step. And his simplistic approach makes it fun, empoweing and for all intensive puposes "do-able"!
