5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps device protected from damage when not in use, September 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This little sock does exactly what I bought it for - to protect my Nuvi 765 from damage when it was not being used (either in the drawer at home or in the center console/glovebox when in the car). It has a hard plastic piece as the backside of the sock so when I put the GPS unit in there I put the LCD screen face down.

The sock is light and easy to manipulate. Well worth the purchase and I am very happy with it.

You will most likely not be able to get the charger cord or anything else in with the GPS unit, but I don't think this is being sold to also hold those items.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect little case, September 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm a huge fan of Built products. Not only are they functional, but they're also really nice to look at. I have a Garmin GPS with a 4.3" screen, and this thing swallows that Garmin like nobody's business. The hard backing of the case also ensures that my GPS doesn't get crushed or mangled when it's floating around in my purse or backpack with all my other stuff. I like to face the screen of the GPS towards the hard backing, as I'm not totally convinced that the neoprene alone will protect the screen from bumps and pokes and whatnot. Can't really fit anything else in the case when the GPS is in there, but that's all right...I don't usually need to bring the cable or the mount along with me anywhere.

I like this product but there are 2 things that would make it better.
1. It is a hassle to get the power cord in this holder.
2. There is no strap.
Otherwise this is a great product if you don't need a strap & if you leave the cord in the car or elsewhere. The gps is well protected, which is most important. I have the Garmin Nuvi 1300 which fits perfectly inside this case.
I definitely recommend this case.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect case for Canon Powershot A590, March 26, 2010

This review is from: BUILT Hoodie Portable GPS Case (Micro Dot) (Accessory)
I had looked for quite a while for a case for my Canon Powershot A590, which is not a flat camera, it has a kind of handgrip that sticks out. I did not like the case Canon makes, it's ugly and the fabric is rough, so it would rub against other stuff in my handbag.
I found this Hoodie GPS case, and my camera fits perfectly into it! I do wish it had a loop for a shoulder/neck strap, but I guess they figured no one would want to wear their GPS around their neck.
(The Canon case had only a belt loop anyway. I guess Canon assumes only men use Canon Powershots?)
Otherwise, this Hoodie GPS case is a perfect fit for the camera, and protects it while in my shoulder bag while being compact enough, and it's a lot better looking than the Canon case. It also has a flat inside separate compartment that you can slip an extra card into, or a pair of extra batteries.
I can probably sew a clip onto this case if I get ambitious enough.

I just purchased this to store my Garmin Nuvi 1300. The GPS itself fits beautifully in the main front tray and the car adapter fits in the back compartment (but only just--it's a tight fit). But like all BuiltNY products it appears well made and solid. Additional points for style.
