I have had this watch for two and a half years, and I ordered it under the Bulova Model 26A011. This is, by far, the nicest watch I will ever own. Since I work with the public (Heavy volume) and wear this every day, I get compliments on it several times per week. I get more comments on this than my friends do on their $3000 to $5000 Rolexes and Omegas.

It is subtle, but has the coolness factor that prompts the people who notice it to compliment me on it. The photo doesn't show the shimmery reflections that bounce off the flat skeleton parts on the interior half of the numbers. These flat pieces constantly reflect light no matter the direction it is held in. In many spots, you can see completely through the skeleton and gearworks. The Blue hands stand out nicely against the background, and the irredescent insets on them do well in lower lighting.

The accuracy is excellent. Period. Being an Automatic, it will stop if left idle for over a day, but resetting it is easy, due to not being a Chrono..(You only need to reset the time forward or back less than 6 hours to be correct to the current time)

I do not baby this watch. I handle heavy objects daily along with power tools and bulk items. After years now, the only wear is small, slight scratches on the case and band. Once a year, I polish it with a dremel tool, cotton polishing head and jewelers rouge, and it always looks as good as new after 20 minutes of work.

You would fall in love with this when you own one, just like I did. (

    Verified Purchase
Let me preface this with disclosing that I own 45 watches across the landscape of cost and value. I was truly not sure, even after purchasing the watch, that I was going to keep it when it arrived, however, the moment I held it I knew that this was truly a special watch. More than the the sum of its beautifully crafted parts and perfect weighting, this watch is a great example of form and function. As busy as it appears in the picture, it is actually quite readable as the depth of the movements provide enough contrast to make out the numbers on the surface level in addition to the subtle blue hands creating a very readable time piece.

If, like me, you are looking for a very unique watch to add to your collection. One that is different enough from your others, yet functional enough to use, then this is your watch. I believe that its limited appeal, in large part due to the inability to truly understand what it is from these static 2 dimensional pictures will help maintain its position as a very special addition to anyone's collection. I, for one, will be wearing mine a lot over the next few weeks and will update this review with the responses I get. I suspect that it will garner some real interest from those that see it.

I am very pleased with this watch. The skeleton style draws the eye and has elicited lots of compliments. The accuracy is decent (it's mechanical, after all, it isn't quartz) and It's a bit hard to read in dim light. However, I also have an iPhone and so do you, so neither of those complaints really matter to us, right? Nobody has even noticed my iPhone, let alone compliment me for my good taste or refined retro style. This damn thing weighs a ton (figuratively), you'll definately feel it, but it feels good. This is jewelry, a big, honking, shiny piece of heavy stainless steel jewelry right there above your left hand. 100 years from now my great, great, great grandson will look at it on his wrist and thank his unknown ancestor for passing it down. Take that- quartz watch and iPhone- you'll be in the land fill amid chicken bones and coffee grounds.

What is most amazing is the quality that has been put into this. It is more accurate than my far more expensive watches that are also automatics. It is the only what that I have seen that seems to hold its value even better than any other watch I have owned, for a collector I would have to see this is one of the 'must have' watches of all-time. I highly recommend one if you are fortunate enough to find one!
