This is the second game released in the Buzz Junior collection (and there are a total of 4 Buzz games, including the following: BUZZ: The Hollywood Quiz (Stand Alone), BUZZ Jr.: Robo Jam (Stand Alone), BUZZ: The Mega Quiz (Software Only), and BUZZ Jr.! Jungle Party (Software Only). There is also a bundle version of each of the four games listed above.
Note that this game requires the Buzz controller set (which is actually 4 controllers linked together). Therefore, you'll need to get one of the other bundles (BUZZ: The Mega Quiz Bundle, BUZZ Jr.! Jungle Party Bundle, or BUZZ: The Hollywood Quiz), or somehow buy a controller separately, to play this game. Each controller set again is made up of 4 Buzz controllers linked together and connected via USB to the PS2 (or PS3, if your particular model allows backwards compatibility). The Buzz controller has a big red buzzer and 4 rectangular buttons (colored blue, yellow, green, orange) This game is basically the same as the Buzz Jr. Jungle game, in that you use the controller to control your character (in this case, a small robot). You can play either one minigame at a time, or a set of games (and you can choose from 3 different sets of varying numbers of games). The individual minigames typically comprise of hitting the button(s) at the right time (working on hand-eye coordination, timing, and rhythm), hitting the correct color button (working on color recognition), and some games are typically random luck. There's instructions at the beginning of each minigame, and the game cheers on the players (congratulating the best and rooting for the worst players) during the game. The games are fun the play and easy to pick up (I would say a 3 year old should be able to play the game), so this is very good fun for the whole family. Another great game to keep the PS2 alive for the family, or to justify getting the 80gb PS3! Definitely recommended. Also, I would recommend getting a second Buzz bundle, in case your controller ever breaks (mine haven't yet), but my kids are slightly older (6 years old being the younger).

It is a lot of fun to play. It has single or multi-player mode. Our 5 year old can play against Mommy & Daddy or the game, itself. There is enough variety to keep you interested. You can set the competition to short, medium, or marathon length. You can also customize and choose what mini-games you want to play in your order. I like the variety of choices. The only thing I found I miss is a pause function once the game is underway. Maybe there is one and I just haven't figured it out, yet. All in all, I would recommend this game to everyone! (I just wish the Dinosaur and Monster version was available in the US! We have the monkey version and it's a LOT of fun, as well.)
Oh, one more thing. I bought the "stand alone" version for PS2 because I already had the buzzer controls. You have to make sure you get those if want to play the game.

This is a great game. My son loves it and he is only 3.5yr old. The buzz controls are great for little ones and also fun for adults. We have had many party nights with this game.

The description was this was the younger persons version of Buzz. Well the kids were telling us how to play. This is based on coordination and speed of which I don't have much but the grandkids do. The four year old was helping grandpa who won, I got the game because the four year old won't play any games with us, just watch. This one she got interested in. I lost them all.

We got this game as a Christmas gift. We already had the buzzers. (We have the wireless set for the PS3, but they work great on the PS2 as well.) Me (45), my wife (44), and my two boys (8 and 5) have spent hours with this game and we have had a ball. Even the young kids can be competitive with the adults without having to worry about complicated game controls. We even set up a custom game that contains events that only require the big red button to play, so the youngest one can be competitive as well. (He has a little trouble keeping up with the games that require the colors). This is one video game that actually brings the family together for some real fun.

We first bought Buzz Jr. for my 8 year old's birthday. It was on sale here at Amazon. I had no idea what it was, but the price was right and we couldn't pass it up. Best purchase we have ever made. We love Robo Jam just as much as Buzz Jr. The neighbor adults fight over it as much as the kids do. Thank goodness, at least 4 can play!! Absolutley love this game!!!!!!
