First off, yes you need the set of special buzzers that come with the bundle edition of this game. I had bought Disney's Think Fast which uses the same controllers, so I was good buying this stand alone edition. But if you don't have the buzzers, you must buy the bundle pack to play this game. It does say you need the buzzers on the back of the box of the stand alone game. A little reading and research go a long way. So much for that.

I got hooked on this game after I tried it out at a Toys R Us store. Buzz Mega Quiz ia a trivia game show, complete with a witty host who makes smarmy remarks, an assistant who goes over the rules for each of the different rounds (for those who don't read the instructions ahead of time), and over 5,000 questions in various subjects. The questions are all multiple choice, and up to eight can play, though a second set of controllers is needed for more than four players. You can also use the Eye Toy camera with this game, but you don't absolutely need it.

A single player game consists of two rounds, Time Builder and Hotseat. Games for two or more players feature the following rounds - Point Picker, Fastest Finger, Pie Fight, Globetrotter, Point Stealer and The Final Countdown. You can also adjust the game for easy, standard or hard questions. You can customize your games by choosing what rounds you want included. You can choose your character's looks, wardrobe and sound effect when buzzing in, or you can choose the Quick Start, Quickfire Quiz or Team Play options. The former assigns you Player 1, Player 2, etc and the Quickfire Quiz is for five or more players. There's even a Quizmaster option, which requires a Dualshock analog controller. By the way, the Buzz controllers go into the USB ports on your PS2, to the right of where you plug in your controllers.

If you like game shows and trivia, you'll love this game. It's fun to play and it makes you think. It's mostly pop culture questions on movies TV, and music, but there's also sports, science and other subjects mixed in. Some rounds allow you to take points or time from your opponents. Some of the sound effects are funny as Hell. So put on your thinking caps and have fun with your friends playing this game.

I bought this game thinking it would be a game for just myself since Im the only one in our family who enjoys trivia-type games. However the kids (10 & 15) enjoy this game as well since there is a option to put questions on easy. Fun for the whole family!

My friend recommended this game, saying him and his girlfriend pull it out when they have parties and how much everyone loves it. We have teenage sons who have better things to do than hang with the parents, so we thought we would give this a try. A video game that the whole family can play- I thought we may have found a winner. It could not have turned out any better- we had a blast! The boys teased each other about the characters they were asigned and were elated at how badly they beat the "old people" during the fastest finger rounds. A great time was had by all and best of all it was time we all spent together!!

We only have Buzz Jr., so far. We love this game! The whole family can play; laughing and having a blast together. We've even had grandparents playing! I'm waiting for my most recent purchases, the new Buzz Jr. with robots and Mega Quiz, to come in the mail. It is a shame that people are giving this game poor reviews based on their mistake. I'm very thankful that I can purchase the software without the controllers. Why would I want several sets of controllers around the house?! YOU are responsible for reading and researching items that you purchase. For the rest of us -- Software only is a great deal!

Purchased replacement playstation 2 software quiz game "Buzz: the mega quiz". It is a very fun game from teenagers to adults.

This game was worth buying. We have spent a lot of quality family time playing this game. Great for kids and adults. Don't forget to buy the buzz controllers!

My husband and I love this game. We specially like all the comments that Buzz makes. It will be a great game to play with a group of people and if you use a memory card the questions are not repeated.

I played a couple rounds of single player mode in the BUZZ Mega Quiz game for PS2 and while fun this game was meant for at least 2 or more players. The questions border on tricky on the hardest setting but the multiple choice answers always make this game a little easier than it should be. This title as well as the Buzz! controllers work just fine on a 60GB PS3 and this title also supports the EYE ps2 camera (very limited use though, your picture shows up when your round is up). Great for parties and people who already own the Buzz Controllers, but single player mode really offers nothing to come back to.

This game ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, you need the buzzers...You would know that had you read the product description. This game is very addictive my friends and I play for hours at a time.

It's great to have a game that four people can play at once, a game in which a 3-year-old can beat a 10-year-old, yet they're all entertained by the way those crazy monkeys laugh and carry on! While there are games that are more active (like DDR), Buzz Junior Jungle Party is one they keep coming back to. It's cute, easy, and a riot to watch!

And yes, you need the four buzzers...thus the name. The big, colorful buttons correspond to the colors of the monkeys--nice and easy for the little guys to follow.
