After I purchased this item, I learned from my allergist that they don't really work. He advised me not to buy one, however, it was too late.

The best protection against mites are covers for everything...the mattress, the comforter, the pillows or anything else you can think of...I was desperate at the time of purchase and would have bought a mite whip, cage, torture chamber and mite oil...
