Not too bad. If you're in the market for a dvd player than this isn't a bad purchase for $300. Not as fancy as the others but it does the job. Has rca outputs for everything minus subwoofer. That isn't too important unless you plan on competing in audio. I have this wired up in my envoy and really like it as do my kids. Screen is bright enough. The usb input is awesome, allowing you to play music files recorded to things like mp3 players and flash drives. Overall a great dvd player if you don't need the name brand.

This was the least expensive Double-din dvd/radio I could find with a front panel AUX input. It works well, but the system is built to only show video when the car is stopped, and does this by hooking up to the parking break wire. This seems to be the common setup for video systems, but I have a manual transmissions, so this doesn't work for me, and so I'm dealing with Boss support to find an alternative.
The touch screen is responsive but the interface is very no-frills, with a radio screen that reminds me of the old atari 2600 video games. While playing a CD you get a nice Boss background though. My car has a standard 2-din slot, but the trim is oddly shaped, and the body of this radio is also slightly too large to fit the trim/install kit that goes with my car. It appears that this radio's face is designed to be it's own trim, so it I will need to work up something custom to make it look good in my car, and anyone without a regular rectangular trim in their car may need to do the same. There's nothing in the manual or specs about GPS, but when you hold down the "Band" button, it switches to GPS mode. I'm not sure if this means there's a way to hook up a GPS unit to it, or if they just use the same software as other models that do support GPS. In this case, the screen just turns blue, like a TV without a signal.

I bouth it, and installed it myself. i have no experience about autoelectric, but i did. pantastic, if you want it you need just one stereo harness specialy designed in your car, that's all. all the wires color by color easy toy. one puzzle is parking brake orange wire!!!!!! just hook it up any metallic ground under the dashbourd. than dvd 'll show you clear nice cool video.

Love this product. I am no videophile but everything looks great on it. I also connect my Ipod touch via the aux port and listen to my podcast this way. It doesn't work via the usb connection. That's the only disappointing thing. Would have been real nice if I could have manipulated my ipod files through the radio.
The manual is simple, but then again so is the device and more so my usage. I just want to play video, listen a radio station and my podcast while driving. For these its a no brainer

The Boss BV9055 is a great all around entertainment system with its multi-media applications and large double din screen. The system plays basically all formats of music and video and has a powerful 80 watts x 4 internal amp. The screen menus are a little basic and old school but overall performance is great. The sound quality is top notch when combined with aftermarket audio components. I have mine connected to subwoofers and upgraded speakers and the experience is almost cinema quality while watching movies. The tuner is also very good and stations come in loud and clear with the RDS feature you can see what's playing. Overall this is a very low priced unit with some nice features (power, USB port, touch screen, remote, etc.) and I recommend this for someone who wants a quality product for a good price. You don't get anything too fancy here like you would with a high-end DVD touch screen, but it gets the job done well.

Boss player double din,

This player is of a good quality, got it recently so far the player's features are just as it was outlined, met my expectations. The only thing is the display for the radio, its a bit old school but thats not a big issue if your not too picky. USB Capability is excellent, major reason I bought this deck. If you looking for a relatively priced unit, this is the way to go with your features that will meet your expectations.

I bought this product for my 2002 Ford Explorer and was told it would fit just fine and it didn't, had fitting problems straight away. It skips more than any other cd player I've ever had, the DVD functions are good and crystal clear, the on screen controls look more like something that should be on the predecessor to the Atari game system.
Replacing this this asap.

Great stereo for the money. the stereo sounds great, the dvd player has great picture, and you can load music up from a flash drive. it also has touch screen presets which are really great. there are a few things I would like to mention you can't by a dash kit for this stereo so you will have to modify your dash your self. and also it has a parking break wire so that the dvd player doesn't work while the car is in motion, but that can easily be bypassed by wiring the pink parking break wire into your stereo ground wire. great stereo great price.

my husband ordered this, thinking it would be a decent (not perfect) alternative to our stereo in our car. the only good thing is it plays dvds and is easy to ground the wire to make it play while in drive. the screen is small so our kids whine that they cant see it. we still have not firgured out how to get the clock off of military time, nor does the clock show if it is in aux. mode or any other mode other then am/fm or off. the owners manual is not helpful, having VERY little information. the screen looks like a screen from a 1980's computer with the boxy green letters. seems like it should be an up to date system with the dvd player and touchscreen but has very bad design and is not user friendly. volume is inconsistent when used with an mp-3 player and screen is blank when in this mode. i guess you can store pics on this. we have not tried. hope to return it anyways. dont be fooled that it will have good or even decent graphics. this came sooner than we expected so that was a plus. dvd player works good if you have a small car where it can be viewed from the back. all in all...very cheap because it is very cheaply made! dont like it at all.
