I purchased this unit recently, thinking it might be a good opportunity to have a great radio in my car and turned out to be a total disappointment. The first unit has a blue line in the center of the screen at just one day to install it on my Mazda.

I made the complaint to Amazon and they sent me a second unit, I was very happy that I received it and thought I could finally enjoy a good music after so long, but to my surprise when I was listening to MP3 files from USB memory the screen began to flash and got blank, although you could hear the music but the screen was not working.

Immediately I turn off the radio and turn it back seconds later to see if it already had passed the "dizziness" that gave him while playing MP3. Then I put a video DVD, when I am enjoying a good show in my new radio the "dizziness" returned with more force and this time it came out of the DVD menu and put in radio mode.

I have many comments on the management functions of this radio:

1. The controls are difficult to understand and do not last long on the screen to program anything, example Bass, Trebble, etc..
2. The sensitivity of the touch screen is very poor.
3. The sound controls are very basic.

I'm satisfied with Amazon customer service but not with this BOSS.

This unit is garbage. This unit worked pretty good for about 3 weeks, until one day I tried to change the song using my touch screen, and the screen went blank. The audio continued to play, but i couldn't see anything. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is so true. I knew buying an inferior brand such as "Boss" would be a gamble. The odds weren't in my favor. Hopefully others will have better luck. I shipped the defective head unit back to Amazon and got a full refund. Thank God it broke before the refund deadline date. I recently ordered a Pioneer unit to replace it.

this indash receiver is great for the price. you get a dvd,am/fm radio, cd-rw mp3,sd card, and usb multi-decoding plus it plays videos via usb or sd storage. this model has only three functioning modes wich are radio,cd,sd/usb.....it does not include gps, tv, bluetooth,or cd changer option. but that does not matter it has alot of options for each of the sources, it features separate bass and treble and balance and loud boost.the touch screen feature is also very responsive just know that you will not be making any adjustments while driving, the main menu lets you adjust the screen brightnes and contrast, when playing a dvd movie it has another brightnes and contrast level, it is just very well put except for the gui its a bit crappy. the output level is okay it does not produce distorted sound, it is very well balanced, i recomend this receiver because it has a low price and has enough features to claim its own braging rights.

I recieved this product in a timely fashion. However, i took it to Best Buy to be installed and wahlaa...no sound! The technition said that it was a faulty product and that Boss was a horrible brand and If it were him he would not have purchased it at all. Keep in mind these are the words of a professional...DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT...ITS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!

I've had this unit for almost a year now and it works great. I love the SD card and USB plugin function because I do not own an IPOD. With these features I dont need one. I simply take the songs off my computer and copy them to the SD card or my USB flash drive. If your looking for a good unit thats not going to cost you an arm and a leg then this is the unit for you. The extra pre-amp outputs make this a dream for my audio system. I have 2 Alpine MRP-M1000(Mono)amps pushing 2 Alpine SWR-1242D(4-ohm DVC Subwoofers). I have a rear view back up camera installed as well. This unit gives you a lot of flexibility with your audio.
My advice, get this unit. Unless you just want to spend $800 on a different unit that does the same thing and comes from a more popular vendor.

Also, make sure you let an authorized dealer install this unit. If you 'Jerry Rig' it or dont install it right it will not last long!

We bought this for our son for his 18th birthday, He has yet to get it to work. He has it all wired properly, but the screen will not turn on. We spent a lot on this product, and we would like for it to work. Any feedback is appreciated.

Got this a week ago.. Easy install in 2007 Grand Prix and works great. Great picture Great sound. I think people who have problem shorted out thier units.

the remote u need to spend alot of time with but the cd player and all is a great deal with the right subwoofers it sound like your in the movies

The best quality / price I can ask for anything better for the price I paid. The team sounds good and the screen looks very good although it is not removable but if you not have more resources will highly recommend this dvd cart.

Unit looks great on dash, good video and audio. Unit is reliable and I am happy with my purchase. However, it is a little tricky to operate menus at first. Instruction book and interface need improvement. For the price cannot complain too much. If you are looking for a basic unit that operates well I recommend this. I would not buy a $1000.00 unit for a car anyways without losing peace of mind over it, every time I park my car away from home.
