This fake hand is kind of hollow at one end, but it looks real enough to startle someone. My daughter has even put her rings on it. Who'd have thought that a fake hand could be so fun?

Good Price, Shipped Fast, But Small And Pink Like Others Said, April 26, 2011
This review is from: Fake Hand (Toy)
Shipped fast which was nice. I know it's a cheap prop and you do get what you pay for. I agree with others in saying it is definitely smaller than an adult hand. Maybe they were thinking only kids would want this. And yes, it is more pink than the picture. It appears like the model for it was a thirteen year old that had a bad case of arthritis and really wrinkly skin. Having a picture with the length and width shown would be easy and very helpful.
I'm using it for a quick video (no close ups) so maybe no one will notice. I don't know why it is so difficult to find a reasonably realistic looking hand somewhere on the internet. Searches bring up everything from how to make your own to ones for practicing manicures to actual prosthetic hands. Oh well. Maybe leaving it in the sun for awhile will help fade the pink color some.
I found one for $45, but sheesh, who wants to spend $45 for a prop hand that may turn out to be small like this one turned out to be? I want one cheap, rubbery adult hand with a little more yellow in the dye. And you can charge me twice as much for it. And you can sell the other one as a "kid size" one and sell a new one as an "adult size". Sans the arthritis please and fewer wrinkles so it looks like it's somewhere between...oh, 17 and 70. Anywho, for the price, I'm sure I can find ways to get my money's worth of fun. I have some nephews that will like playing with it too since it is closer to their hand size. Thanks for the quick shipping!

Don't be mislead by the picture on amazon's website, this thing looks quite a bit cheaper. The knuckles are malformed so it looks like the hand's owner had crippling arthritis or something, and the size of the hand is more akin to a little person. Still, all in all it's a pretty good product for the price. It's made of durable waterproof plastic and has a decent amount of detail.
