I loved this version of Baba Yaga. Wonderful vocabulary - both words related to Russian folklore and English words that are engaging and interesting. Found this a fantastic teaching tool for upper elementary. Wish I could still find it in big book form.

I expected this story to be presented in prose, but was surprised to find it had been written in verse....and not very entertaining verse at that. I'd hoped to read the classic story to my granddaughter but neither of us enjoyed this rendition. Baba Yaga and Vasilisa the Brave however was a wonderful book. I'd recommend that you purchase that one and not this.
