5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant Surprise
I was pleasantly surprised to find out how enjoyable of a read this book was. The cover and the middle school library checkout pouch inside the front cover led me to believe I would be reading a childish quick overview of his life ful of inacuracies. However, I found this book to be very informative about some of the little things in his life most stories i have read just...

3.0 out of 5 stars Babe Ruth His Story in Baseball

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how enjoyable of a read this book was. The cover and the middle school library checkout pouch inside the front cover led me to believe I would be reading a childish quick overview of his life ful of inacuracies. However, I found this book to be very informative about some of the little things in his life most stories i have read just gloss over. The aouthor does not trivialize the things Ruth did like visiting hundereds of sick kids, how he was discovered to be such a good baseball player, and his wantingness to play until he could not play anymore.

This book fills in a lot of story of his life that others leave out. This modest school kids book is well worth the read for any baseball fan and especially any Babe Ruth fans.

Babe Ruth was one of the greatest baseball players to ever live! In his career he hit 714 home runs and batted .342 all time. He played for several teams, but the teams he was the most famous for were the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. He was a pitcher and a outfielder. He is one of the few pitchers to ever to be able to pitch and bat really good!
You should read this book if you don't anything about Babe Ruth or if u want to learn more about Babe Ruth. This book tells you a lot of what he did and how all the fans went crazy for him. I recommend this book to any one who loves the game of baseball or loves to read about people.
