All expectant moms should read this, September 9, 2001
The best part of this book is its collection of awesome, authenticated birth (and pre-birth) memories. They support the belief that babies are beings of a very high level of consciousness at the time of birth, to a degree that most people would never suspect. This book belongs on a list about spirituality as much as it belongs on a list about birth. The memories that many people are able to retrieve about their births indicate that tiny infants indeed come into the world "trailing clouds of glory". Their emotions and level of understanding at birth are those of fully evolved spiritual beings, who--one assumes--lose their memories of a former spiritual existence as they mature. Anyone who is truly open to the message of this book will be deeply moved by stories such as the one about the baby in the womb who was worried about his mother because he understood that she was bleeding and near death. After reading this book, you're very likely to want your baby to have as gentle and natural a birth as possible--and you just might be careful what you say in the delivery room!

Amazing proof that Babies do remember their birth!, January 28, 1999
By A Customer
An excellent book for prospective parents. A must read for Drs, labor and delivery nurses, and doulas. This book gave me insight on my three son's births and how early comments did affect their lives. It also increased my awareness of the importance of making positive comments at the births I attended and creating a loving, welcoming presence for the newborn. It does make a difference!

Deep psychology of Natural Spirit Awareness in fetus & newborns - Amazing!!, October 18, 2011
This review is from: Babies Remember Birth: And Other Extaordinary Scientific Discoveries About the Mi (Paperback)
I read this in early '90s when learning about my terrible birth in hospital by recalling in Primal flashbacks & during Rebirthing sessions, helped grow more awareness of life now. Plus how the "Primal Period' from Conception to Weaning' (M.Odent MD) deeply effects our birth & whole lives. The sensitive feelings of fetus in wombs & babies during whole birthing process is deeply imprinted by mothers experiences, even while bonding & nursing or not, impresses our lifelong learning patterns & emotions.
Its hard to believe that infants are so sensitive to our words, looks, touching, health &or neglecting them during & after birth. The memories reported are amazing in clarity, detail & feelings, reminds me of how we feel when meditating in bath, Nature & lucid dreams.
A new psychology sprouted in 1970 & '80s called "Spiritual" & 'Pre & Perinatal Psychology' of profound effects on our lives from the womb, birthing & bonding with parents, hospitals & home environments. Also early parenting influences our whole lives & relationships. Now deep therapy, bodywork & spiritual awareness can heal & guide us into total Love bonding with babies, mates, Nature, spirit & whoever we love now. This is deeper than modern psychiatry & psychology, because our origins are rooted in all our childhood experiences & DNA that impressed us subconsciously for whole life. However the anti sensitive aware baby movement calls this 'the false memory syndrome; because they doubt its possible for babies to feel & remember early life. [The New Primal Scream: Primal Therapy 20 Years On. by Art Janov.
Reading it can make me/you cry over how sensitive our babyhood really was & how babies really feel inside mom & out. This challenges & even reverses many modern & ancient beliefs about babies, the child is the father to the man & 'The sins of the father lasts 7 generations'. It also explains how imprinting in womb & babyhood are deeply influential & can be remembered & healed with total commitment to grow more aware than society believes, trusts or allows in normal real world fantasy of 'birthdays'!
