5.0 out of 5 stars An enthusiastically and confidently recommended addition, May 9, 2007
This review is from: Babies & Toddlers: A Knitter's Dozen (A Knitter's Dozen series) (Paperback)
An enthusiastically and confidently recommended addition to personal and community library knitting project and instructional reference collections, "Babies & Toddlers: A Knitter's Dozen" is a profusely illustrated compilation of twenty-four 'user friendly' knitting patterns for variety of home-made garments for preschoolers that ranges from hats and sweaters to blankets and toys. Each 'how to' pattern provides a visual image of the pattern along with step-by-step instructions and techniques for accomplishing the garment. "Babies & Toddlers" will teach the needlecrafter how to go about accomplishing double-knit, entrelac, cables, felting, lace, stranded color, and intarsia. The featured sizes will enable even the most novice knitter to produce garments to fit children from 3 months to 4 years. XRX Books is a premier publisher of needlecraft instruction books and manuals. Needlecraft enthusiasts would be well advised to visit their website [...] for a complete listing of all of their many excellent titles on knitting and other needlecraft activities.

This review is from: Babies & Toddlers: A Knitter's Dozen (A Knitter's Dozen series) (Paperback)
The publishers of this book certainly know how to pick patterns! The book is chock full of darling sweaters, vests, toys, socks, blankets and hats for your special little people. The directions are explicit, telling you everything you need to know for yarn and needle size, yarn quantities and level of difficulty. Some of the sizes are for infants, but some are sized up to 4 years. This is a lovely book to add to your knitting library.
