5.0 out of 5 stars I was skeptical too but not anymore
Disclaimer: I own shares of the company (Generex Biotechnology: GNBT) that makes Baboom. However, I was pretty skeptical when I heard GNBT started making an over the counter energy spray using their RapidMist technology as I felt it was a big distraction from getting their oral insulin to market (the reason I invested in the company).

Sodium benzoate has only been found to be dangerous when it combines with vitamin C. this creates the chemical benzene, which is really bad for you. Since there is no vitamin C in this product, there is nothing to combine with sodium benzoate to make benzene.

Also, I am not a big fan of energy drinks though I've been known to knock back a sugar-free Red Bull for a late night programming session, but it's been several years since I did one of those. However, I was curious about Baboom and the price seemed right so I picked up some here off Amazon.

Bottom line: it definitely works.

My typical early morning routine after waking used to be to drink some water then head out with my dog for some exercise before breakfast. Usually by the time I got back I was "boinking" - I could definitely feel my energy was down and that I needed some carbs. Now my new routine is to take 2-3 cheek sprays of Baboom before I head out. I no longer have that boinking feeling and my workouts are doing much better. Plus, I think it keeps me from eating as big a breakfast because I am not as ravenous. I actually have lost some weight since starting Baboom but I am also trying to eat better too so there may be no relation. I like the fact there are almost no calories in it.

It comes in a pack of 3 and each bottle lasts a long time. I actually gave one of the bottles to my brother to try and am still working through the 1st one so I feel it's a very good value for the money.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on Amazon but this product warrants a commendation and is at least worthy of a try. The company also has a similar product called Crave-NX which is supposed to be for weight control (I have not tried it) but I don't see it here on Amazon as of this writing. Each product has its own [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars First was skeptical, but this stuff really works...., May 28, 2009
This review is from: Baboom! Instant & Sustaining Energy Spray, 1.01-Ounce Tube (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I am addicted to energy drinks, but hate the fact that they have so much sugar and that seems to make me fat. So I saw this packaging on the Baboom and had to look and see what it was all about. Quickly learned that it was an almost calorie free energy burst. So I ordered some, and god damn is this stuff fantastic. I have a feeling you're going to see this stuff take off, not only for athletes, but also the crowd that goes to raves. If they market this stuff correctly, it could be the next geneation red bull.

Try it out, it's shocking how good it works.

Best regards

I just received a 3 pack of this Baboom Energy Spray this morning from my very friendly postal delivery lady. I am shocked on how wired I have felt today..hahahaha. I rebuilt a carburetor that I was holding off for a good day and it is done. I drank 2 cups less of coffee today and used the spray instead. Maybe a placebo or maybe major energy boost in a spray. Take care

I usually use BaBoom before and during my workouts when I need a little boost. Great product and convenient to keep in my backpack.

Well.. wanted to try something that would last me a little longer than red bull and something instant. So, i ordered baboom and had high expectations for it. Well, it didn't work at all for me. Don't really recommend it to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Research sodium benzoate, September 27, 2009

Anyone considering taking this or any product with sodium benzoate, do some research. It has shown to effect multiple systems in the body including DNA. Obviously, there are products that increase energy that do not use the preservative, caution is warranted.
