This doll is a blast to play with! I have two daughters; one is twelve and one is four. They both love this doll! She is so cute and entertaining!

You don't just pretend to feed her food and water. Your child will have a blast mixing the food and some water into the bowl and feeding baby alive. You do the same with juice. I have to say, it is kind of messy, but that's why it comes with a bib, and messy makes it more fun!

A little while after you feed her, she will raise her nose and make a sniffing sound. Then she will ask you to change her diaper. When you do she says, "All better!"

Be prepared to buy more food and diapers! (available at walmart)

Also, she makes the cutest expressions! When she cries, her lower lip goes down and she sniffs; just like a real baby!

I could go on and on! Baby Alive is wonderful!

My 2 1/2 year old got this for Christmas and adores her. Her hair is different from the picture, but I wasn't too concerned about that. My daughter loves to feed and change her. She gets so excited when it calls her Mommy! She will go through a diaper each time you feed her, but I purchased washable doll diapers on ebay that were made for Baby Alive. They work great. The instructions say to dispose of the food after feeding, but we save it and use it for next time. This way 1 packet will last 2 or 3 feedings. I also purchased a Baby Alive outfit that included a pacifier. The pacifer is neat. She sucks on it and after 30 seconds goes to sleep. Overall, we love this doll. If your little girl loves taking care of babies, this is definately a great choice.

I read a lot of the reviews on this doll before purchasing, and still bought her. Yes, the color peels off of her lips when she is fed. My daughter didn't notice or care. My 7 y/o loves her, and carries her around constantly. As noted in other reviews, the diapers are expensive so I bought premie diapers (31 for about $9) and they worked perfectly. Definitely worth it for the tons of fun and play she is getting.

It arrived sooner than expected. I had a problem with it because one of the dolls eye was defective. It doesnt shut all the way or open. When the doll is supposed to be sleeping we have to manually shut its eyes. Kinda creepy to me but it was for my 4 year old daughter who wanted it so bad for Christmas. For the money it cost, I wouldnt order it again.

i fell in love with this doll, it was a christmas gift for my daughters i had to buy 2, and when i got it out of the box the doll lip was out because she was sad. too cute my girls just loved them until the diaper changing of the number 2 and my daughter was like o no mommy you are going to have to change that

My daughter had to have this for Christmas. I wasn't sure it was worth the money, but she really enjoys it. It does do some cute things and it's fun to really feed her. The downsides are 1) the lip color came off within 4 hours; 2) The food and diapers for the doll are really expensive. We haven't found an alternative for the food, but I did find a cheap way to deal with the diapers, though. Get a preemie diaper wrap and get some cheap cloth diapers. The wrap was $5 and you can just wash the cloth diapers in the regular wash. It saved us a ton.

My daughter loves this doll and is now sitting on her potty also. along with getting her scooby sticker rewards after potty time.the doll works great without food or real water. she thinks she eats and drinks it and still makes peepee and poo poo sounds on the potty...

When I first saw this doll, I was not really that interested, but when my 4 1/2 year old daughter wanted her for Christmas I did my research and decided to give her a try. I have to say that we both really like her. Granted, at 4 1/2, I have to help my daughter with diaper changes, but I have not found the doll to be that labor intensive.

The doll does not have to be expensive to maintain. There are several things that can be done to cut down on the cost. In an effort to cut costs, I decided to make a few cloth diapers for the doll from some left over flannel and fleece so that we do not have to keep buying the expensive Baby Alive diapers or the real-life preemie diapers. We spread out "real" feedings. We usually only feed the real food and juice to the doll 2-3 times a week. Otherwise, we use invisible food and give the baby water to drink when she is thirsty. Her voice is pleasant; she has several different phrases to keep the doll interesting. She has a pleasant face and can be turned off so that she can "rest" at bedtime and/or naptime. I did notice that the lip color has faded with the feedings and that there seems to be a small hole directly above the lips that has occurred since purchasing, but so far I don't see that as being a big deal since the doll is intended for play and not for collecting.

The Baby Alive Real Surprises doll also seems to be very durable and of solid construction. I anticipate her lasting quite some time provided she is cared for appropriately. Overall, this a fun doll. We are having a lot of fun playing with Daniella together and I am glad Santa decided to give Baby Alive a try.

I bought this doll for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. Much better than I had thought it would be. She is going to love it. I also bought some clothes off ebay for it and that way she can change them on the doll. Thank you very much.

I bought this toy for my cousin a few months ago and it is still working very well. She is quite pleased with it and in fact, this toy is loved by most little girls here in Trinidad. I received my package about one week after purchasing it. Great service amazon.com.
