My granddaughter loves this doll.

All told, this is a cute doll with reasonably good bipedal walking that engages and entertains my little girl, and will probably do the same for yours.

[You can choose to hear her phrases in English or Spanish!] When placed on her feet, she actually walks.

This doll come in a very cute child pleasing package. It is really easy to get her untied unlike a lot of these toys that take forever to get out of the box. Next you turn the switch on her back to the on position and you are ready to go. She will start talking if you pick her up and hug her or when you press her tummy and her hands have sensors for when she asks you to hold them.

She laughs a lot and says things like this is fun, I love you Mommy, Lets try again, oops, I'm okay when she falls and about 40 in all. I was not able to get her to fall on her own she amazingly walks even as she looks very unsteady on her feet. On hardwood if she comes up to the rug sometimes she turns and sometimes makes it onto the rug. She knows when she falls asks for help to get up or says she is okay.

She has rooted hair that is more than just the 2 pigtails. Her scalp is painted brown and with the few extra strands here and there her hair looks full but I am sure it will look bad if taken out of the pigtails. The outfit has an opening but it is not meant to be taken off. If you press her tummy for a few seconds she changes to Spanish speaking. This could be a good learning tool both ways for a Mexican child or English speaking child. Her coloring is a bit tan, she reminds me of Dora the Explorer just a bit.

I think any 3 + yr old girl will love this doll. As for a dog or cat you may have maybe not. My dog barked constantly at her when she was on the floor but lost interest when I put her on the counter.

If you stop playing with her she calls Mommy let's play, oh Mommy then she will stop.

She feels sturdy but some parts are soft vinyl and others hard plastic so that part could possibly break if thrown on a hard surface. The batteries are in the bottom of her shoes and closed with screws so the child cannot get to them. It does come with demo batteries. Overall it's very fun and laughs even for adults.

C'mon. Is it fair to charge twenty dollars more for the African American than the Blonde and ten dollars more than for the Brunette doll? Am I to believe the darker skin dye costs more? Or that the African American doll is harder to package and market? Give me a break. I think it is important that my nieces have dolls that reflect their realities - which include dolls of various races and ethnicities. Consumers should not be punished or "taxed" because they want to support better self images of young girls of color. Seriously, I think the manufacturer should do what it needs to do to not have this disparty in pricing. It drives down the demand for the African American doll which would unfairly indicate that fewer consumers have an interest in purchasing.

This doll is absolutely adorable!! No, she is not one to cuddle, but she is tons of fun to play with! With so many dolls on the market today, it is hard to pick one - just like everything else, lol. However, Baby Alive Baby Wanna Walk is the perfect choice for any little girl - 3+ who loves dolls! This little doll is perfect for playing house with, she is incredibly interactive, responsive and will have your child, or any child you give this to, clutching her with love and excitement! My daughter is 10 and thought this was the cutest thing - honestly I couldn't agree more, lol. I am anxious to have my 3 year old niece try her out, as she is an avid baby doll girl.

With the mechanics, you may wonder how well she works, annoying sounds, lags in movement, etc. I can truly say that there are absolutely no issues, thus far, with any of these things. She walks well, when she speaks it is clear, rather than tinnie or annoying and I have yet to find fault with any of those issues.

Baby Wanna Walk is simply tons of giggling fun and will have children and children at heart smiling and laughing right along with her. She will also make any child a loyal and faithful playmate that, while she is battery operated and moves, talks, etc, will also allow imaginations to soar. I highly recommend this sweet little doll to anyone who loves baby dolls!

The doll is almost perfect, the material is a little hard and the eyes don't open and close. Those were a couple of features that made the doll a 4 star instead of a 5. It also said that this was a new doll, but the condition of the box and doll indicated differently. Box was torn up and taped all over and dolls hands were dirty.

This doll is so stinkin' cute and with her hazel eyes and brunette pig tails, she looks a lot like my daughter. My little one is younger than the recommended age (she is 14 months) and she's learning to walk while holding our hands. I thought it would be fun for her to have a doll that is going through the same experience that she is. Baby Alive walks easily on both the tiled parts and carpeted areas of our home. She uses about 40 phrases and her voice is very sweet (not scary like so many other talking toys). As an added bonus she also speaks Spanish when her tummy is pressed. I'm a huge fan of bilingual toys, so I'm thrilled about this feature. This doll tells "mommy" exactly what she needs (for example, when she needs help walking and when to let go) and this can help teach little girls to be nurturing caregivers. My daughter is very fascinated with the "baby" (as she refers to her) and I can't say enough good things about this doll.
