Burp, Feed, and Diaper Your Own Baby
The Whoopsie Doo doll runs on three "AAA" batteries (included). With soft plastic skin and big, blue, cartoonish eyes, she is sure to charm with her realistic happy coos and giggles. Whoopsie Doo also includes two diapers, a rattle, a bottle, and two packets of Apple Doll Juice.

Her clothing is unfortunately minimal--she arrives to your house in just an undershirt--but if it gets dirty, it can be easily washed in the laundry on a cold, gentle cycle. The doll can also be easily cleaned with just a quick wipe of a damp cloth.

The baby bottle fits snuggly in its mouth, with a plastic top for feeding. You may need to give your child a lesson in diapering, as it is recommended for the baby to always be wearing one before it "pees" or "poops." It is also recommended that the Apple Doll Juice that comes with Whoopsie Doo only be drunken only by the doll. (The Apple Doll Juice is non-toxic, but you will want to monitor your child while she feeds Baby Alive.)

One bit of advice: Be sure to watch for the doll's sudden movements after feeding, or when fussing, as they are quick and at times are completely unexpected. She could easily move herself off a table. Fortunately, the doll is powered on and off by a switch, but if you forget to turn the switch off, the doll will shut itself off after whining one last time, allowing you to save on batteries.

The baby is pretty cute, the cues and cries are pretty good sound effects and they effectively evoke an emotion out of my 3.5 yr old son to say "oohhhh" and comfort her right away. It was kind of tricky for my son to get the baby bottle in the mouth in such a way that it would actually trigger the suckling sound though. But he just crams it in her mouth as hard as he can now and that seems to work for him. :)
But mixing up the special food (which by the way you have to buy more of once you use the two free packets that come with the doll) and dealing with her instantly wet diaper is kind of a pain for the adult to have to deal with supervising. i like to give him toys that he can play with independently and this is not one of those. my 3.5 year old needs help tearing open the packet opening and closing the bottle and then changing her diaper, so all he does independently with her is carries her around and pretends to baby her etc. He could be doing that with a regular doll that isn't designed to poop and pee so I wish I had bought him a baby doll with less crazy functions.
Also I got it on Amazon for like $25 I think and then I saw it at Target on sale for $11 or $12 and that was disappointing. I think $25 is a bit much.

Toy has hidden instructions about what type of food it can have. This size can only have the juice type meals and not the other baby alive food formula as that is for the "larger doll". This was not known until the other products were purchased as it was a recommended item for this baby. The outside box does not mention this fact also, so beware for this size of baby alive doll only buy the juice formula. Also when using the formula the baby must be held semi upright to avoid the leakage of the juice behind the head/neck area.

My three year old really wanted this doll from the moment she noticed it. I'm normally not a fan of battery operated toys that make sounds... I feel like it can stifle creativity. And I really wasn't thrilled with the idea of a doll that wets. But I eventually broke down and purchased the doll (Hispanic). I've been really pleased with the doll despite my initial reservations. I decided the moment we purchased her that we would only use water and that I would buy several cloth diapers. We used cloth diapers on our children so I knew it would be easier and waste free. I bought a bunch of cute print velcro style diapers from a seller on etsy.com. They've worked perfectly. I just let them air dry. No fuss and super easy.

The doll's sounds are actually kind of cute and my daughter loves hearing them. I love that that the doll has an on/off switch. My daughter even enjoys feeding the baby with out water as the doll still makes eating sounds. She rarely even asks for water in the bottle. She takes her doll everywhere and the doll still looks great. It's cute and looks a bit like a cartoon character. Very well made and durable. A damp wash cloth and she's easily cleaned. I've purchased quite a few cute dresses for her on etsy.com as well. My daughter truly loves this doll and I have no regrets about my purchase.
