Have given my daughter this calendar at Christmas every year. When I couldn't find it in the usual holiday kiosks, buying online saved the day!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent primary content, horrid "extras", annoying lack of weekend days, January 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Baby Blues: 2010 Day-to-Day Calendar (Calendar)
The Baby Blues comics on the calendar are totally fine and enjoyable, but this calendar, like all the daily calendars from this company (Andrews & McMeel?) have two significant problems.

First, they decided to put "extras" on the back of each page, which sounds like a decent idea, but most of them are weak bits of trivia or pointless word games. If I wanted trivia or word games, I would have bought those calendars. And one of the reasons I like daily calendars is that they produce a lot of note paper - the normally clean back sides of the comics. This and all other 2010 calendars from this company fail that criteria.

Second, and this nonsense has been going on for a long time, they have a single page for weekends, rather than one page for Saturday and one for Sunday. It reduces the number of pages by 52, which I'm sure saves them money, but is just lame - I bought a "daily" calendar, not a 6-day-per-week calendar. It makes the weekends just a little less fun, since there's only one new comic to read, rather than two.

Great calendar. The kids find it funny and we share the day's comic every night at dinner.
