James di Properzio and Jennifer Margulis have given every new father a wonderful gift. Their beautiful book contains short, informative essays covering everything a first-time dad needs to know, from the importance of skin-to-skin contact to the joys of reading aloud. While the text is instructive, it's also friendly, entertaining, and accessible -- and can be read between naps. Enhancing the essays, Christopher Briscoe's black-and-white photos of babies and dads are works of art. (Moms, you'll love looking at this book too!) Very few books are available on this topic, so this is a welcome addition, and a perfect gift for new dads and fathers-to-be.

I ordered this book for my husband when we found out we were expecting. We both have enjoyed reading the tips for dads and viewing the beautiful photographs. The book was in perfect condition and shipped quickly.

This book was given to me by a close member of my family. As a soon to be "new" Dad, I have had a fair amount of anxiety over the pending change in my life. This book succeeded in calming many of these worries, as well as entertaining me with hilarious anecdotes and spectacular photography. I highly recommend this book!

Great book for new dads or dads to be ... easy to read, hard to put down, even for mums!

Got this for my husband for this Father's Day, a few days before the birth of our first child together. It's a great book with interesting ideas about how to forge a close relationship between dad and baby. Beautiful photos.

Beautifully illustrated, this concise book speaks to dad in a manner to alleviate his fears and explain exactly how he can be involved with his baby in manners that will build a wonderful, lasting bond between them. Sleep time, bath time, carrying, diapering... simple, optimal advice for excellent bonding between father and baby. Properzio and Margulis are right on the mark.
