Just enough!,

This review is from: New Baby Born Function Doll in Pink Jammies (Toy)
I originally purchased the Baby Annabelle doll for my daughter. She played with it for a few days and then got frustrated that the doll would not stop crying, would automatically shut her eyes and then open them back up when she "shut down" and the final straw was any little noise would start the crying again. The doll ended up in the spare room where all the old toys go.
Then along comes Baby Born. My daughter absolutely loves her. She comes with us to the store, to pick up her big sister at school, and to the shower. She has her own Christmas list and my daughter has requested that I knit a stocking for Baby Born so that Santa can fill it. None of this happened with Annabelle. The little tears are cute, my daughter loves the little squeak that she can make and I think most of all, she loves the imagination time with her baby that is not interrupted by a sudden burst of tears or battery shut down. If that isn't money well spent I don't know what is. There are tons of accessories available to keep playtime interesting for a 4 year old and also to keep interest in the doll. On top of it, she fits into the preemie size type Pampers or Huggies. I save a ton of money buying these rather than the official diapers. There are some minor issues that I feel bear mentioning. 1 - Ours came with the pink pajama set. Within days the outfit is awfully pilled (those little fuzz balls) which only got worse with washing. I know this is due to the type of fabric. I really wish the company would reconsider what they use for material. 2 - One of the legs is slightly separated from the body. I do believe this might be from my daughter pulling the leg the wrong way. It is still watertight so Kudos to Zapf, but I wish it fit better. 3 - We feed her the real water and found it is best in my daughter's case (aged 4) to leave the diaper on during feeding as it is hard for her to constantly remember to keep the doll upright to prevent her from wetting. I want to mention that after reading the instructions I thought it was best to save feeding the included food to the doll until my daughter is older (if ever). I am seriously considering not ever using the packet of food because it does seem to be quite messy. Some reality is good, but I've changed my share of diapers, cleaned my share of potties and hineys so I'll let the pretend feeding of Baby Born satisfy her hunger pains! All in all, I was very satisfied with this doll, but more importantly, so was my little girl.

My mom is typing this for me so I can let you know what I think of Baby Born. My name is Annie. I like baby born a lot. She is lots of fun. I take care of her alot. The best part about her is I can give her a bath and she drinks out of her bottle. I can change her diapers and be the mommy. I love her.

My daughter got this doll for Christmas. When I read the review I thought it was going to do so much. She doesn't do what I thought she would. Squeals with delight means, "squeaks if you squeeze her arm." I got Baby Annabell and loved her and all her functions. But to my surprise both of my daughters fight over this doll because she uses her potty and they can bathe her. It is there favorite one. For that I would buy another one, but only on sale. It is not worth the money (full price)for what you get. She is cute though.
