This review is from: Baby Boy (Audio CD)
I just purchased this soundtrack and I really enjoyed it. Already a big fan of Tyrese, Snoop Dog and Raphael Saadiq. There are a variety of artist, with different musical styles that particpated on this project, but there was one artist, that really stood out. I discovered a brand new artist, her name is Felicia Adams. She has two songs featured on the soundtrack, Baby Boy and You. Baby Boy is just simple put, BEAUTIFUL. Is was so refreshing to hear something positive for a change. Universally, every mother can relate to this song. It starts off with a phenomenal orchestra music, that I've never heard on any other R&B/Pop song that's out today. Its got that urban soulful sound with a touch of old school flavor, but transitions into what can really be done with music in the future of R&B. I must give credit to the producer of the track, Chris Liggio, who ever you are, you are going to go far. The second song, You, well it made me cry. I can so relate to this song that discusses a failing relationship. I've gone through that once or twice. Thank you Felicia Adams, for writing such a beautiful song for the broken-hearted.
