4.0 out of 5 stars Outback Brides, January 1, 2001
Same basic concept of man and woman meeting and not admitting that they have feelings for one another when we, the readers, know that they are madly in love. Clare is a city girl who goes to the outback to find the father of her sisters baby. Clare promised her sister before she died that she would find this man. When Clare gets to the Outback she does not find Jack, who is out of town, but finds his brother Gray. Clare and Gray live together and take care of the baby while Jack is trying to be found. They both love each other, but refuse to admit it. The story is basically about their feelings for one another and their stubborness to admit that those feelings exist. I knew nothing about the Outback and felt the same way that Clare did. Clare could not see herself living there on a regular basis and leaving behind the city life. It was an interesting book.
