I just got this cupcake makers from my husband and I love it! I have made all kinds of cupcakes and muffins... it took me a little while to get the amount to put in the cups right and my first few batched were not very pretty, however the more I make the happier I am. I love to take it to school and make fresh treats for my kid's birthday right in class! The kids love it!

The one downfall of this wonderful creation is clean up. Attempting to get all the burnt crumbs out of the cups takes more time than actually making the cupcakes. But with a little elbow grease and a generous helping of wet paper towels it can be done pretty quickly.

Overall it is silly and fun and frivolous. If you are a real baker you probably don't want this, but I can see college kids or busy, on the go people liking this a lot. I sure do!

I just received this in the mail and I LOVE IT!! It is the most amazing thing ever. The person that was saying it was bad and that the little crevices got stuff in them (obviously was filling up the slots more than supposed to). I made chocolate mini cupcakes, banana nut muffins and then I also made Beef Empanadas (which were AWESOME-you use the already made dough and it comes with the tools. I had no problems with it sticking and they came out amazing (recipe came in book that comes with it)). I definitely recommend this to everyone because its so quick and easy to use. It comes with a small recipe book also. LOVE IT!!! It is so worth the money. The person that gave it 1 star or had all bad stuff to say was obviously using it the WRONG way or not following directions correctly.

I found my Babycakes at Big Lots for the same price as JC Penny's- $29.95. I bought it for myself using birthday money. It was a frivolous purchase but I love it. I was babysitting with my 3 1/2 year old twin niece and nephew and thought it would be fun to make the mini cupcakes. It was and they loved making them. I used a regular cake mix and put in the ingredients stated on the box- oil, eggs and water. For the first batch I used the mini cupcake liners. They worked OK but were a hassle. For subsequent batches I put the batter right into the pan. I baked the cupcakes for 9 minutes. They came out perfect! No problems getting the cupcakes out of the pan. They were just-right kid size- three bites and really good. The cake mix made about 30 cupcakes, which my niece called Cupcake Muffins. I am definitely glad I bought this gem for myself. It is fun to use and clean-up was easy. I just used a damp paper towel and wiped out the molds. Nothing stuck so clean-up was quick and simple. I will definitely try other things in my Babycakes baker.

Oh, I tried out the baker, for the first time, to make individual little tart shells from a chilled store-bought dough. They were a slight disappointment. There is a little tool to use to form the cup for the tarts but the dough kept sticking and didn't stay in the mold. It did better when I floured the tool. The big trick is getting the dough in the mold so all sides of the dough touch the hot surface. I think it would have worked better if my dough had been colder. Overall, though, I did get satisfactory tart shells. I will try other things, like mini-quiches, when I have the opportunity.

MADE BROWNIES YESTERDAY TO TAKE TO A LUNCHEON WITH THE GIRLS. THEY WERE VERY IMPRESSED. USED THE LINERS AS INSTRUCTED AND A SMALL COOKIE SCOOP. THE DIRECTIONS SAID 2 TABLESPOONS WHICH WHEN USING THE LINERS IS TOO MUCH. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE BATTER ON THE EDGES. TOOK THEM OUT USING A PLASTIC SPOON, COOLED AND WITH A STAR TIP PUT CHOCOLATE ICING IN A SPIRAL DESIGN. THEY WERE MUCH NEATER LOOKING THAN BROWNIES MADE IN A SQUARE PAN AND THEN CUT. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WAY THEY TURNED OUT AND THEY LOOKED NICE ON THE PLATE. I WAS CONCERNED WITH THE LINERS SINCE THE MINI CUPCAKE CAKE LINERS SEEMED A LITTLE SMALL BUT ONCE THEY BAKED UP THEY LOOKED FINE. I THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE ONE OF THOSE APPLIANCES I HAD TO HAVE AND THEN USED ONCE AND NEVER USED AGAIN. NOT THE CASE. I DIDN'T HAVE TO TURN THE OVEN ON, HAD ONE BOWL FOR THE BATTER AND WIPED IT CLEAN WITH A WET RAG WHEN IT COOLED OFF. HAPPY WITH IT. WHEN USING WITH KIDS I WOULD LEAVE THE BAKING PART TO AN ADULT AND LET THE KIDS DECORATE.

So you might be thinking why do I need this to make mini cupcakes when I have a mini cupcake pan?!? Well first of all this cooks them much faster and second it isn't just a cupcake maker. In fact I have not even make a cupcake in this machine yet! I started with mini cherry pies. OMG they were so cute and just the right size for a mini dessert. It made them in about 8 mins! And not only were they cute they were fabulous. I got this machine until I can get my hands on the Breville Pie Maker, but this will be used for so much more. It makes Quiche, Cornbread Meatballs, and MORE! The recipe book is fabulous! Mine came with the decorating bag and tips, plus the crust tool for pies, quiche, pot pies, and more. I have also heard of people making meatloafs in this! It is easy to clean and won't heat up your kitchen! I am in love with this!

I went shopping for an Easy Bake Oven for my daughter. I stood there staring at a $25 light-bulb heated bulky toy-oven where I'd have to buy their own brand of cooking mixes and it dawned on me that I could spend just a but more on this mini cupcake maker and it could be used for so many things and I could buy regular cake and muffin mixes (cheaper than the Easy Bake mixes). I mean, why would I not do this? Plus, I could get PINK for her! This is something we all will enjoy (even me--can't wait to try quiches, little pies, and more!) What a fun idea. I am sure I, personally, will get use out of for school treats! And she can't believe she has a REAL cupcake maker!
