5.0 out of 5 stars This is just what I was looking for!
Although I purchased this book almost a year ago, I just wanted to comment that out of all the baby books I had looked at (online and in book stores) this one "fit the bill." It has charts and graphs for everything from teeth to the family tree. Just what I was looking for, as most books now just have lots of pages for pictures but not alot of space for writing...

3.0 out of 5 stars It's got space for everything you would ever want to record and more
I got this and one other baby journal before my daughter was born. This one was more "complete" but pretty plainly decorated, so I ended up giving it away to someone I knew was having a boy and kept the other one. It's a better size for fitting all the little memorabilia you get from the hospital, etc. but just not very exciting or cute in its own right.

Although I purchased this book almost a year ago, I just wanted to comment that out of all the baby books I had looked at (online and in book stores) this one "fit the bill." It has charts and graphs for everything from teeth to the family tree. Just what I was looking for, as most books now just have lots of pages for pictures but not alot of space for writing. I even wrote the author to thank her for putting together a very needed book of this kind back in the market. She even replied back to me! Anyway, this book very rarely is put away as I am frequently filling in those "first" pages for my son. I plan to buy the "School Year Chronicles" as well so my son will have a wonderful set.

We wanted to keep a scrap book for our kids, but did not want to start from scratch. This book provides plenty of blank pages for pictures and such, and also provides many ideas for items to record. We bought two - one for our current child and one for the next, just so they don't miss out.

This scrapbook has EVERYTHING you need from your prenatal visits on. It condenses all the important info on your baby that you need with journal spaces & places to keep photos (with one open page protector in the back) so you don't forget. I scrapbook anyway but this book has pages laid out for you, you just add the photos - good for moms with more than one child and no time to get creative. Here are titles of pages: Mommy's pregnancy records, My family tree, My presents (with thank-you checkoff column) 4 pages of My first..., 2 pages of My Portrait Gallery (to place photo of baby each month - my fave), 2 pages of My Growth chart, Packing for the hospital, 2 pages of Parent's Notes...see what I mean!!! It's great! Amazon.com had this book as a package deal with the School Year Chronicles which I got for my 3 year old (it's an awesome book too) so I will give these away to every baby shower from now on. I've emailed the author a couple times & she's responded (send mailer from the book in to get a few little freebies.) It can't fit every occasion for a full year but keeps all the milestones in one book. I highly recommend this to any mom. It's been lots of fun filling this up for my now 1 year old.

This book is terrific because it's complete and very easy to fill in. I'm just not one of those moms who is great at writing things down, but I like this book so much most of the important stuff is in there. I especially like the teething chart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good baby book, November 6, 2006
This review is from: Baby Chronicles: My Very Own Story: from pre-natal to pre-school (Spiral-bound)
Has a lot of neat entry spaces for baby development. Recommend purchasing before your baby gets here as it has a checklist of what you may need, phone number page for who to call, etc.

I have been looking at a lot of baby books, and one thing that bothered me was that most baby books don't have a space on the Family Tree page to acknowledge siblings. In this book, already being a mother of two, I was delighted to see a vast column in which to include baby's brothers and sisters. Also, the colors and graphics in this book are just perfect; not too flowery, no gratingly bright colors, and no actual photos of teddy bears (I hate that)! This book has space for everything: newspaper clippings, baby's horoscope, place for footprints, first haircut samples, and lots of family pictures. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the BEST baby book for me!, January 19, 2004
This review is from: Baby Chronicles: My Very Own Story: from pre-natal to pre-school (Spiral-bound)
I love this book so much that I'm buying a second for my second child on the way. What's so fabulous about it is that recording starts during pregnancy...just the basics though: weight gain, heart rate, pictures, etc. I just added my own memories within these same pages. Then, when the baby arrives, there's all sorts of places to start recording memories. Everything from baby's firsts, to monthly pictures for the first twelve months, to feeding and sleeping habits, to medical and dental records. Friends that have tried to make their own baby books from things found in other baby books have been amazed at the topics I suggest - directly from Baby Chronicles. I would highly recommend this book. It's easy to keep up with and allows for lots of journaling and pictures. I find it best to bring it out once a month to keep it up-to-date.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique baby book with tons of extras!!!, September 6, 2011

This review is from: Baby Chronicles: My Very Own Story: from pre-natal to pre-school (Spiral-bound)
One of my sisters had a baby and the rest of us wanted to put together a fun baby book/scrap book for the new mommy and baby. This baby book did it all.

It has all of the basics like where baby was born and measurements and firsts...

But there are pages for newspaper clippings and horoscopes from baby's date of birth, a page where baby can come back year of year and write his name so you can see the differences, a page with common items in your day to day life today and their prices (time capsule-esque).

This book is the best we looked at (and we looked at A LOT)! It is like a baby book, scrap book, and time capsule all in one. This is something that mommy and baby can come back to years later and look at with interest.

A++++++ on this product!! My sister was so happy to open and see the amazing entries! I recommend this book for new mommies everywhere.
