i contacted ababy before purchasing this item to find out more information about the mattress. i was concerned with the firmness of it. i was told that the mattress was firm and would not conform to my baby's shape. i was also told that it met all of these safety standards and passed numerous safety tests. i purchased it based on all of the great information but was extremely disappointed once the mattress arrived. it came folded in half in a box. no firm mattress would be able to fold in half. the mattress conformed to my baby's shape after setting him on it for only a few moments. this product is not safe. babies need a firm surface to sleep on, if not, their breathing can be compromised. after i original spoke to ababy i thought that it was strange that if their product went through all of this testing and meets safety standards then why didn't they list these credentials in the product description. they don't list them because it is not true. i should of listened to my instincts and never of purchased the mattress. i had a great deal of difficulty with the return but after several complaints they finally refunded my money. don't waste your time with this product. spend the extra money and get a quality mattress for the sake of your child.

I needed a new mattress for a basket bassinett that was mine when I was a baby. I couldn't find anything to fit, but this worked nicely. The cover seems waterproof enough and it is nice a firm. Great buy for the money!

I have an old cradle that my mother used when I was a baby and couldn't find a mattress to fit anywhere.....this is perfect.

This is a simple and comfortable mattress. While it is not overly padded- it is perfect for the napping my daughter does in her bassinet- she seems quite comfortable and sleeps well. The matress fits well in the vintage bassinet we found at a resale shop- and you can't beat the price! It's also nice that the bassinet sheets we buy at Target fit.

Mattress is extremely poor quality, foam has been allowed to bend into shapes which DO NOT lie flat. Exterior "waterproof cover" was damaged in several places The cover looks and feels like white saran wrap. Shipment packaging of this mattress consisted of a tube of cardboard with ends unsealed. The product was vsible when delivered. The mattress was folded in the middle in too small of a box.VERY DISAPPOINTED

I am giving 3 stars here because the mattress itself is not a bad mattress for the price. My disappointment is in the measurements. I am not sure who learned how to use a tape measure with this, but it is absolutely not 13" x 29". We have custom built a cradle to exact specifications and have a perfect fit opening for that size mattress. This leaves a big gap both in the length and width. When measured with our tape measures, it comes out to 12" x 28" barely. As I said the mattress itself is not bad, but watch out for the size if it needs to be exact.

The matress was good quality but it did not fit my older basinett that must not be standard size. Initially I was unclear about the measurement and ordered it based on the basinett liner measurements (that I also had purchased at the same time.) After sending it back my money was refunded quickly.

I was searching the web for a replacement mattress for my cradle. The one it came with was worth nothing...it was so thin that my baby slept in my bed, instead of in his own. I was desperate...I found ababy on Sunday night, ordered it on Monday and by Wednesday my baby slept in his own bed on a nice firm mattress!I am extremely satisfied.

Fantastic service. The mattress arrived before I'd even started the bassinet. It was very close to the advertised size, and although our grandaughter has not said so, she seems to think it is comfortable enough (ha ha). I will order from Amazon
