3.0 out of 5 stars A little small, but very cute!
My baby likes to hold this book and he seems to like the pictures. I was expecting more pictures of babies faces. It seems a little short and small for the price.

She is fascinated by the variety of pictures of different babies. Our copy is well-worn and quite dog-eared, but has been quite durable given the heavy use.

I would heartily recommend this book, and others in the series, for any baby in the six to 18 month range. Younger babies will like the photos, and older babies will enjoy a book they can "read" on their own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect first book for your little one!, December 10, 2004

This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
From the time they can focus on faces, most infants are completely fascinated with other babies. This book provides the perfect opportunity to indulge in this fascination, as it is filled with baby images. Like all of books in the Baby Einstein series, the images are a mix of photographs, drawings, and even famous works of art, thus providing your child with an exposure to wide array of image types. Given the small size and sturdy board pages, this is a perfect first book for infants, but it would also appeal to older children, especially those with a new baby brother or sister. Overall, an excellent buy and a great value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Still a favorite, August 19, 2003
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
We have had this book for over a year and it is still one of my 20 month old daughter's favorites. We read it frequently and from the look of it you can see it is well loved. The babies are fun to look at and the words are appropriate for very young infants and toddlers that have short attention spans. I would say this book is a must for anyone with an infant just learning to listen to stories. It will stay around for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, March 1, 2006
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
My daughter has loved this book from day one, we have a chewed copy to prove it. She loved looking at the different babies and even a year later, it still holds her interest. I have bought it for other babies and they have also loved it - highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Hold, September 9, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
This little book is easy for small hands to hold. My granddaughter loves it and the other books in this series. She can gather them up and come get in your lap and "read". It has cute pictures and not alot of words. Babies turn pages so fast, fewer words are best.
Enjoying it lots. M. Holladay

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for little hands, June 6, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
My son loves this book! (And the Dogs one too.) He is one year old and he can easily turn the pages. There are other board books that are the same size, but the pages are too thick for him to turn the pages by himself very well. He likes to carry it around with him. When he's not bringing it to me to read to him, I often find him sitting there looking at it by himself. Love the pictures! And it's an easy book to throw into a diaper bag or a purse for those down times outside of the house!

5.0 out of 5 stars Babies love babies!, December 15, 2006
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
This book- along with Baby Einstein Birds, Cats, & Dogs- was among some of our firstborn's first board books. He loved the size and often carried one with him while crawling! They're a nice size for the diaper bag or sling pouch, too. Of course, our son nibbled on them (IIRC, there are two board books called Bite me! I'm a Book! & Bite me! I'm a Shape if you want to encourage that sort of behavior- we didn't!) but he didn't eat so much of the book that you couldn't read it, so they were our second son's favorite little books as well. The images packed into this tiny book are beautiful. In addition to lots of baby faces- including happy, messy, & unhappy ones- there are a couple of lovely images of dads with babies and moms with babies. As usual, many are famous works of art. I love that Baby Einstein books (& DVDs) help to expose my children to art and poetry/rhyme at an early age and in an engaging and fun way. I didn't even mind reading this little book at least one hundred times! ;>)

Baby Einstein products continue to be a favorite in our household. We bought this along with Cats and Dogs. For months these have been great little books for any time. The baby (now 7 months) puts everything in his mouth, and these books can take it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Little Book, August 17, 2005
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Babies (Board book)
We got the Babies, Birds, Cats, and Dogs books and my 16 month old loves all of them. There are a verity of pictures, simple words, and are small enough for her to hold in her hands easily. She will make a big smile like the baby when we read "Babies have big smiles" and she will cry for us when we read "Sometimes babies cry".
