We received this for a Christmas present. My son continues to love this toy. He now stands up to play it. I would recommend this toy with one important warning. The center globe has a flap or page that his likes to turn. It switches from one mode to another with this turning. Unfortunately, the globe is not perfectly round so that when it is right in the middle, there is an opening and my baby's fingers get caught in it. A few times, he cried and I was able to see it and take it out. The last time he got his finger more severely stuck in it and then fell down contorting his finger in it further. I ran to him by then he was screaming (I was just about 10 ft away); the end of his finger was purple from lack of circulation. It took 10 minutes to calm him, he refused ice so I stuck it in snow while he still cried.

Solution-I was able to remove the flap. Now, he just has that one mode which he still enjoys. He laughs at the duck and bard sounds.

I am online to write to Baby Einstein and tell them of these incidents. I think they and you should know.

My husband just got this for our 11 month old son for Christmas. He loved it! The table slides if you put it on hardwood floor but is pretty stable on a playmat. He spends a lot more time on this toy than other toys. But today when he was flipping the "page" over, his little finger got stuck between the "page" and the smiley face. He didn't know how to get it out and ended up wedging it in further and started crying and screaming. It was stuck pretty tight, I couldn't even push the "page" back up; I thought it would cut his little finger off! I ended up using brute force to pry it out.

This toy is really entertaining, but it's just too dangerous. It needs to be recalled and redesigned. My daughter was using it while standing, but when she let herself slide to a kneeling position right next to it, her face grazed the side of the activity table and the edges of the seam between the blue plastic bottom and white plastic top of the toy sliced a thin strip of skin off of her cheek. Over a month later, she still has a scar.

My daughter absolutely loves this toy. Plays with it most out of everything. BUT just as previous reviews have stated there is a plastic flap in the center that changes modes which is so dangerous. Your child will most likely put a lot of their weight on this table while standing over it and in doing so they place their little hands right in the danger zone of this flap. Once they go to flip the plastic flap over they can do so right onto their fingers and then not know how to pull their hand out from under it. My daughter not only did this put continued to put more of her weight onto it pushing it harder into her little finger. She was screaming and her finger was bleeding and swollen. Such a nightmare. I ended up having to tape the flap down and unfortunately she now can only enjoy the toy in one mode. I wish they would fix this problem as it is a nice toy. I wrote to the company and hopefully they remedy this issue. I wanted to write this review in hopes of saving another child from getting hurt or if u are thinking of purchasing this item please remove or tape down that flap!

I just bought this yesterday from Target for my son who just started sitting up on his own. I put the legs on it this morning so he could play with it sitting up, but after a few minutes he was tired and wanted to lay on the floor to play with it. I went to remove the legs and cracked one of them. I called the customer service number and the woman told me there was nothing she could do for me and that the legs are NOT DETACHABLE!! I'm so irritated and disappointed that I just spent $35 on a toy that my son can't fully use yet.

Baby Einstein is NOT so EINSTEIN!!!

For this price the legs should be detachable so my son and future children can use it at various stages.

Once on the phone with the customer service representative I realized that the manual does state that the legs cannot be detached. Maybe it's my fault for not reading every single fine line in the manual for a child's toy.

This is the first Baby Einstein product that I've purchased. I now question the functionality of all their other products.

I've owned this product for 12 hours and now my son can barely use it.

SO IRRITATED AND FRUSTRATED!

What do I do now? Break the legs off, try to return it to Target and then buy a new one?

Funny thing is....other than not being able to take the legs off, I really like this product.

Thanks Baby Einstein and Customer Service!

My baby loves this, and i put the legs on to get her to practice pulling up and standing. the thing keeps falling over on top of her! so it's a FLOOR toy, not a table. that said, she really does like it so it gets 3 stars.

There should be warning stickers on the legs that say "warning! Once legs are attached they do not come off!" We bought this as a transition toy for our 7 month old and upon opening it, attached the legs just to see how tall it would be. Now, we are stuck with a toy that is too tall for our child who can only sit up...guess it's going in the basement until she can stand. I don't understand why it would be made with undetachable legs. Even if we had known there's weren't removable, we wouldn't be able to use it for another baby until they can stand as well so technically it is not a transition toy.
