Old McDonald Had a Video,
This review is from: Baby Einstein - Baby MacDonald - A Day on the Farm (DVD)
Baby MacDonald: A Day on the Farm is a multiple award-winning DVD that's a fun-filled introduction to the sights and sounds of a farm. Featuring live-action images of farms and farm animals interspersed with engaging visuals of puppets, children, toys, and real-world objects, it combines traditional nursery rhymes with the classical music of Schubert, Schumann and Strauss. This DVD has a calming effect on your baby while stimulating their early verbal skills. It's appropriate for introduction to baby around the age of 9 months but will continue to entertain through their second year.
Most of the videos in the Baby Einstein series are designed as `video board books' for your baby and offer you the opportunity to interact with your child in the same way you do with books as well as act as a distraction for that deeply needed parental bathroom break. Most of the DVDs have the option to "play" or "repeat play" and are about 20-30 minutes in length -- the repetition being very stimulating and comforting to the younger set. While I don't think viewing Baby Einstein DVDs will make my infant "smarter" she sure does enjoy them! They give me a great way to interact with her as well as a few minutes here and there to get a few things done around the house. Their ability to calm her when she's fussy is already legendary in our household. Here is information on all the current 21 Baby Einstein DVDs including suggested times to introduce them to your little one. This information IS NOT available with the DVD sets but I gleaned it from several sources for my own use. You may like to print this out for future reference. Note: All the Baby Einstein DVDs are "region 1" which means they only play on machines in the U.S. and Canada. The good things about this DVD are:1. The animals The not-so-good things about this DVD: 1. Too much of the music is slow, when it should be upbeat. Why plough to a lullaby? My son is now too old for the Baby Einstein series, and it's time to move on. It's been a great three years, and definitely essential viewing for children. Thank you Baby Einstein, and goodbye.

This is one of my top five DVD's in the Einstein series. It has an absolutely dreamy, breathtaking, peter-pan fly-over of a farm that goes on forever. Fantastic shots of cows, old farmhouses, and the requisite sing along that inspires my babies to harmonize. It's a guilty pleasure that I love to watch just as much as my three kids. God Bless Julie Clark for this series. I hope she got rich off of it.

Farm animal, tractors and singing...what's not to love.,

We purchased Baby McDonald for our 14 month old son. The movie it filled with farm animals, tractors, singing and puppet shows. We love it. Our son was repeating the animal sounds, laughing at the puppet shows, dancing to the music and singing E-I-E-I-O. He loves going to Grandpa's farm but that is 2 1/2 hours away so this a great substitute. We have all of the Baby Einstein movie, they're all great but I think we may have found a new favorite. A must have for kids who love animals.

Baby Kendall 9 months old loves the farm.,

This review is from: Baby Einstein - Baby MacDonald - A Day on the Farm (DVD)
Our daughter is a very active child and we have found it trying at times to settle her before bed. We had been advised to try controlled crying but it seemed we were fighting a loosing battle. One screaming night I convinced my wife to put on Baby Einstein McDonalds Farm. Within minutes of putting the disc on Kendall had started to settle down and watch the movie. She started by standing up in her cot, then sat down, then layed down and fell asleep still watching it. Now when we put her to be she will stand in her cot and yell till we put on McDonalds Farm when she then sits down and ends up falling asleep within 15 minutes. She adores the puppets and music and you can see she is genuinely captivated with the mixture of sight and sound. I would recommend this product to anyone with an active child since it has proven so helpful for us.

My daughter (20 months old)LOVES this video(Baby MacDonald). Just so that I don't have to go through and write more reviews, she also loves and I mean LOVES, Baby Da Vinci,Numbers Nursery,Baby Shakespeare,Neighborhood Animals, and Baby Van Gogh. Shealso enjoyed the Santa video. If you have a smaller baby, I'd recommend Baby Mozart, Baby Beethoven, and Baby Neptune( my daughter still watches these too. Baby Galileo is one that she'll watch, but the characters are a little different. The only Baby Einstein video that I thought was a complete waste of money was the language nursery. As an infant and a toddler, my daughter lost all intrest immediately.
I have recommended these to everyone that I come in contact with that has a baby (of any age). They are awesome!

My 13-month-old son loves this DVD. He constantly points to the box to ask to watch it, and will then sit through the entire video mesmerized by the animals, puppets, and children. He especially likes when the puppet pigs play in the mud and get dirty! He is also learning to make the animal sounds and will say each one as the animal comes onto the screen. All babies are fascinated by animals and so I highly recommend this video, which presents farm animals and related themes in delightful and simple way.

This is the most recent dvd I've pruchased. It's wonderful. We own every Baby Einstein video they have produced.
I honestly can't say enough good things. My daughter and I watch them almost daily. (at least 1) She has been watching these since she was about 9 months old, she's 2 now and still so enjoys them. At first she loved the music and movement. Now she can tell you all the animals on the varies tapes, and their sounds.Cow..Moo, etc... colors, numbers, shapes,... These videos,(dvds) are priceless!!! We have many books, and all the flash cards. She has been introduced to art, poetry, classical music. We truly love the Baby Einstein collection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Einstein seems to keep up the momentum of making great videos (except Baby Galileo) - this is a welcome addition to their other 2 animal videos. Great mix of amusing puppet shows (my 22 mos old daughter laugher outloud at every one), art, live farm scenes, kids playing. Pigs in the mud scene is delightful. Section on Growing Things is stimulating, even for older kids. The bonus section on the DVD is worth it - great teaching tools, animal footage spot on as usual. My daughter grew up with Baby Einstein and at 22 mos, still is enraptured by all of them except the first 3 truly tailored for babies (Einstein, Mozart, Bach). The look of wonder and questioning on kids faces is all a parent needs to know how great these videos are!

Baby night at the movies,

Baby MacDonald is our baby's favorite DVD. It was love at first sight, the moment she saw it she was mesmerizes. She still stares at the TV screen in total joy when A Day at the Farm is on. The family knows every song and scene by heart, but the baby doesn't grow tired, she has mastered the DVD remote for this film. The cow puppet is the baby's hero but all the giggles go to the messy piggies jumping in the mud. The harvest music sends the baby dancing and clapping hands. Our show is to watch the baby watching Baby McDonald, we have seen it hundreds of times and so has the baby, but she is showing no signs of wanting to quit. He have tried other shows, other puppets and other brands just to see the baby yawn and take off somewhere else. This film does not appeal to older ones but is just perfect for those around 12 months. She loves it , we love it!
