5.0 out of 5 stars Master Pieces for Little Artistic Eyes
I bought this book for my 1 year twin. Although they still can't understand the questions but they like the real master pieces and their colors.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly printed
We(and our son) like many Baby Einstein products, but this book is just too poorly printed to enjoy. The picture sections under the liftable flaps are so dark and murky that they are almost unrecognizable.

This review is from: Baby Einstein: Master Pieces (Board book)
I bought this book for my 1 year twin. Although they still can't understand the questions but they like the real master pieces and their colors.

This book has five master pieces. Each one with a question that helps the child to express his feeling and to use his imagination. Then there are 5 questions with lift-the-flap answers about an element in the spread which gives the child opportunity to:
1. see the work as a whole and as a small parts.
2. associate isolated elements in the masterpiec with objects in his or her world.

For example, in the third page we have Pierre-Auguste Renoir, The Luncheon of hte Boating Party, the main question is asking about the people in the pic. and ask the child to imagin himself sitting with them, what he will smell and hear and what would he eat?. One of the lift-the-flap questions is: People often drink from this. As a hint, it starts with the letter "G" the answer is on one side of the flap "Glass" on the other side is: a painted glass from the spread itself.

The only bad thing about this book is that it is not sturdy enough esp. for those babies who like to eat the book corners. this book has to be used under your suppervision.

My children and I like this book and I believe they will like it more when they are older. when we can ask, answer and discuss these questions together
