Why did the producers use synthesizers for this music? It's awful. It's possible to hook kids on classical music using the actual instruments written for it - that's how I got hooked. That's what Mel Blanc and Disney did in their cartoons, Bugs Bunny and Fantasia. I do NOT recommend this CD to anyone. It was a shower gift. If you are not familiar with classical music, then I recommend "Baby Needs Beethoven", which is a collection of music using real instruments (albeit shortened - no full length symphonies here).

This is music for babies, or for children, the people at Baby Einstein understand that little ears have trouble discerning multiple sounds. If you had wanted a classical music CD those are already available. But your baby needs a simple CD with only 1 or 2 instruments. It's not about whether YOU like the CD, but whether your child likes it.

We use the Lullaby CD every day at naptime, puts him (ok and sometimes me) right to sleep. The playtime CD is good for getting his energy out :)

My three month old loves this cd. It calms her down when fussy and we love to dance to it together!

This is fabulous and my baby loves it at 4 months old. I can hear him chatting to the images and it can give me that 20 mins of peace in the day that I sometimes need. Thank you Baby Einstein.

This CD is a must-have for our little Baby Einstein fans! My son loves this CD! From the moment when I played it the first time, a few months ago, he still loves to dance to this. I find it's great to put on while he's playing with his toys, instead of turning on a DVD or the TV, and he'll play much longer and happier.

I put all my baby's toys on the floor and turn on the cd player and she gets veeery excited with this music! Excellent! Get the "Traveling with the Baby" as well cause it's very soothing in the car.

This is by far the best CD in the Baby Einstein collection--it will put your toddler in hyperactive playful mode and exhaust you as you try to keep up. But for today's overweight, tv- and game- addicted children, this is great!

Anything that has an Einstein in the title my twins love. I used to play this for them at night while they slept.

I gave Baby Einstein: Playtime Music Box to a little boy on his first birthday. He loves it and dances and dances to the music.
