Great Book for Babies!,
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Touch and Feel Baby Animals (Board book)
This is a quality touch and feel book for babies/young toddlers. My son loves to look at the different animals on the pages and feel the different textures of the various animals. The colors are bright and bold and the text is simple and clear which also makes it interesting for him. This is definitely one of his favorites and a fun book to look at over and over again (even for me!).

My son really liked to be able to feel the animals that he saw! This is one of his favorites. Cute too.

We have all of the Baby Einstein "Touch and Feel" books, and this one is by far my son's favorite. It has the most variance in textures, which is why I think he likes it so much. His favorite is the porcupine :)
Grade: A+

My 15 month old requests this book ALL the time. The textures for the baby animals are great, especially the chick and the cat. This one is a must read!

This book is like 5 pages long. It's really really cute though - the baby monkey Mimi is so sweet and the little dialogue inside is just adorable but just as you're starting to get into it, it's over!

I was a bit hesitant to give a mass-marketed Baby Einstein book to my daughter after all the controversy about the Baby Einstein videos. However, once we got into this book, I saw that it's really wonderful and very well-made. It's very colorful and it has plenty of rhyming text for me to read out loud while my daughter pets the animals. Each page has a lot of little details, like insects, other characters, and inanimate objects for me to point out and describe as we read through the book, so we can get a lot out of it. My daughter's favorite is the hedgehog; instead of the usual soft and fuzzy textures you see in most books, it's a piece of scratchy velcro. She likes the sound it makes when she scratches it with her fingernails.
Baby Einstein did a really great job of packing a lot of exploration and learning into one book!

This book was a great first book. I started reading this book to my daughter when she was about 4 months old. As she got a bit older she loved to touch all of the animals. Now that she is 16 months old, she also likes to point out other details in the book such as the bird flying above the park or the sun up in the sky. I would highly recommend this book.

My son doesn't care much about the story (at least yet), but he loves turning the pages and saying hi to the animals and touching them. His favorite is the hedgehog!

Good Enough, Not Enough to Touch and Feel,

The book is exactly what it says it is, its touch and feel. However, my daughter, 9 months, loves another book that has much more in it to "touch and feel". I think the value here is that there is more of a story and words to go along with the touch and feel action. A different book that I would recommend is called Little Hands Love (A Tiny Handsies Touch and Feel Book) (Touch-And-Feel) and its pretty much just 6 pages of touch things. The baby einstein might be better for my daughter when she's a bit older, but at 6-12 mo, I would definitely recommend "Little Hands Love".

This is the best touch-and-feel book of the Baby Einstein series, with textures for a chick, puppy fur, kitten fur, turtle shell, and hedgehog "quills" (feels like velcro). The variety is great, and the mix of illustrations (with lots of details for toddlers to pick out) and photos of real animals is very nice. As with other Baby Einstein books, I find some of the rhymes a little bit awkward for reading aloud, but for the most part, they work nicely. My baby continues to be actively interested in "reading" this book almost a year after we first bought it -- can't beat that!
