PVC IS HIGHLY TOXIC AND EVEN FORBIDDEN FOR TOYS IN EUROPE,
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Water, Water Everywhere (Bath Book)
Hi,
I'm originally from Germany... so sorry for my English. I bought this book in the USA a few weeks ago for my little daughter and after I opened the package I realized the extreme smell. After one week on the balcony and several washes in our sink i`ve looked up the materials and WAS SHOCKED!!! I found out that it`s a forbidden material for any toys in Europe! The vinylchloride that smells like plastic has an extremely high potential to create cancer like lung cancer. The more you can smell it - the more toxicc it is!! It destroys the kidneys and the liver and is dangerous for your fertility!! Especially the phthalates that make the hard PVC soft can be inhaled and penetrates the skin. Babys that chew on it or just touch it and play with it have a high blood level of PVC remains, that you can measure for a long time. Be careful!

My 6 mo old loves the book. He plays w/it in the tub every time he is getting a bath. The poem is very pleasant & the illustrations are informative, bright & colorful. Great find for the chewing babies & their rough/grabby little hands.

I am a mama of 8 month old twins, and they love eating this book! On occasion we have been able to get through actually reading it, but for the most part it is in one or both of their mouths by the last page. All in all, I'd say its a hit. Maybe once they get past teething, we can actually read it to them.

My son had a couple bath books that he loved, so I decided to add this one since we had to read the others so many times in a row. This quickly became his very favorite!!! He is 17 months and now "reads" it to me in the tub, babbling and turning pages.

Fun for baby, Big Help for mom,

We bought this book along with the "Who lives in the pond" 8mos ago, when our baby was 10mos.
She was always trying to stand up and get out of the bathtub. Now she sits in the tub "reading" her book. Then the problem was that she never wanted to get out of the tub, so now we keep the other book in the bench where we dry and dress her. With this books, bath time is now very fun for both of us.

My 9 month old daughter loves this bath book! She likes to play with the book in the bath tub and watches me read her the story.

Fun to read (and chew on),
By A Customer
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Water, Water Everywhere (Bath Book)
This book is fun to read to a baby of any age. My son (who is 6 months) sometimes likes to look at the pictures, but also likes to chew on the book (gums only of course), which is perfectly fine since it is made of a waterproof material similar to that of an inner tube. Not my favorite book in the collection, but I do like taking it out from time to time.

Boring, lame rhymes,

I didn't like this book, and my 5 month old daughter wasn't interested either. I bought this because my daughter loved "Mimi's Toes" so much, I thought this would be similar as a rhyming book. It wasn't! Rhymes are forced, and there's no nice rhythm to the book. My daughter just looked away bored, but when I pull out Mimi's Toes, she gets excited again.
The illustrations are nice, but that's about all. I wish they put more effort into the words. We also miss the repeat lines that Mimi's Toes had. Babies love to recognize the same line over and over.

First book,
This review is from: Baby Einstein: Water, Water Everywhere (Bath Book)
This was my daughters very first book. I would read it at every bathtime even when she was only weeks old. Once she started understanding more her eyes would light up as soon as I read the first sentence. I still get the same reaction at 14 months.

My 3 year old still loves this book. It was her favorite book when we first started really reading books at about 6 months and has remained a beloved book. I have the whole book memorized. I loved that we could clean it before and after she chewed on it when she was little and it has remained a good incentive to let me finish bathing her so she could read it.
