We discovered that if you do this, Baby Foot works perfectly:

1. Soak feet for about 15 minutes in plain water (in a large bowl or bucket or sink or bathtub: whatever holds warm water & both your feet).

2. Use Baby Foot exactly as directed.

3. Wash feet with soap and water, rinse, then soak feet again in plain water for about 15 minutes. So, schedule about 2 hours for the process listed in #1 through #3.

4. If you don't see any sloughing or peeling after 2 to 4 days, then soak feet for about 30 minutes in plain water. When you take feet out of the water & blot dry, you will definitely see sloughing & peeling. If you continue to soak for another hour then you will see even more sloughing and peeling that you can begin to rub off. Sloughing & peeling will continue well-enough for several days without further soaking, and most of the dead & dry skin will come off, BUT

5. if you continue to soak your feet in plain water for 30 minutes to an hour every other day or so, you will continue to see even more sloughing and peeling up to about two weeks AND it will thoroughly remove ALL dead & dry skin from your feet.

Two friends & I discovered this after we used Baby Foot once (we didn't know about the above directions at that time), and Baby Foot worked perfectly for the one of us who takes daily body-baths (doesn't shower), worked well-enough for the one of us who took daily showers & occasional body-baths, and didn't seem to work at all for the one of us who Only takes showers (never body-baths). We were comparing notes a few days after we first used it, and the shower-only friend was complaining that it didn't work at all, absolutely no peeling whatsoever, and her feet looked exactly the way they did before she used Baby Foot.

I have dinosaur feet. I didn't always have them but after returning from a Virgin Islands trip 10 years ago I began to notice my feet becoming really rough in spots (heel, lower side section of big toe and side of pinky toe). I went to a podiatrist and she tested for fungus etc but found nothing. So, my days of scraping and moisturizing and wearing socks to bed because I was embarrassed for my husband to accidentally touch my feet during the night began.

The best product I had found before I discovered a blurb in a magazine about Baby Foot was pure Shea Butter. It was a daily process however and if I skipped a day I noticed it would take 3 days of constant use to "catch up" with fairly smooth feet.

I had read enough positive reviews of Baby Foot to decide to give it a try. I was a bit leery of it being a Japanese product but then realized I was probably being paranoid because of radiation fears (yeah, that is a whole other story). The product I received came from Liberta U.S.A. Inc. so I am guessing they are the U.S. distributor now for this Japanese product.

The product I received came in the red box with American English print with a photo of a woman's feet (not the photo of a leg shown on the red box here at Amazon currently). It says Lavender scent on the front. The instructions on the back say the booties will fit Woman size 4-12 and Men 4-13 (American I am assuming).

After reading all the inconsistent reviews of results I decided to compare the ingredients in the different packaging types and found differences. Some of these differences were in ingredients themselves and some just in the order of the ingredients (we all know the listed order of the ingredients determines the percentage of the ingredient in the product).

So I have horrible feet (I really should have taken pictures). Cracked and all decrepid looking. My heels are a disaster. I found this product while looking for something to help moisturize my feet or do something with them. I was skeptical at first, "Fruit acids", yeah right, but I went with it.

I soaked my feet in my girlfriend's foot bath thing, which was really nice by the way with some nice epson salts. Dried them off and stuck my feet in these gross gel packs for the time it takes to watch 2 episodes of Sons of Anarchy. I almost died getting another glass of water because you really shouldn't walk in these gel slipper thingies. Keep whatever you need for however long you wear them handy. I'd recommend a roll of paper towels handy too so you can wipe yourself off before you traipse off to the bathtub to wash off your tootsies. I didn't, and got gel all over, stupid.

Anywho. The box and reviews are all like "WAIT 5 DAYS", I thought "I know this is a scam, i just know it". Yet, day 3, my toes started shedding skin. It wasn't what I wanted but ok. After 4 days and nothing happened I figured nothing else was going to happen, either the product was rubbish or my feet were terrible. Day 7 I nearly screamed when I saw my feet literally flaking as I walked. It was nuts, skin was everywhere. Day 8? I was like a friggin snake, I was shedding skin and sure enough, baby smooth skin underneath.

Now, pretty much my entire foot has been reborn. My heels, well, I think I need to see a pedicurist to really get those suckers under control, but the product really does work. My feet actually feel pretty great, and they are not gross to look at. I no longer sneer at "Fruit Acids". This stuff works, give it a week after your treatment.
