This review is from: Baby Girls: An Owner's Manual (Perigee Book) (Paperback)
I'd love to raise my daughter free of gender bias, but we live in a world that has it. This book addresses the physical realities of raising a baby daughter (hygiene, growth rates) and societal ones (no matter how hard you try to avoid it, "girl" clothes often come in pink). It's got common sense advice on food, nurturing, and setting limits--and the language is warm, even friendly, without being "cute." A very good book. |
